A Study on the Estimation of Moisture Condition of Concrete by Resistivity Method

비저항법에 의한 콘크리트 함수상태 평가에 관한 기초적 연구

Abstract

Deterioration phenomena in the concrete structure are represented by salt attack and carbonation, which are affected by moisture condition of concrete. This moisture condition in concrete has been estimated by resistivity method. However, the estimation was not reasonable as it was done without considering reinforced bar in the concrete structure. A novel method is thus required by considering the influence of the reinforced bar. Also, this method should need to consider the distribution of water as the amount of water can vary between the surface and the inside of the concrete structure. This research therefore proposes a non-destructive estimation method based on 'layer resistivity' of concrete above reinforced bar by using Resistivity Estimation Model (REM) to examines Moisture Condition of Concrete.
