Korean Apartment shows the alienation of everyday life in the area of consumption and demand. This kind of alienation comes from the consumer capitalism and consumption culture and has relation to the commodification of urban housing. Therefore the purpose of this study is to show the way social structure impacts the everyday life of Korean apartment in the aspects as commodification for middle-class consumers, pre-construction sales model houses, tools for personal assets and a status symbol, and stylized life cultural equalization. And the fundamental contradiction is identified between the characteristics of the apartment as the homogeneous, economical and standardized product of mass production and the individual desire to be differentiated from others which is a prevalent phenomenon in the consumer society.
