초록

In this study, the algorithm for the automated structural design of horizontal members of hanok was developed and was implemented to the GUI based software system. The developed system can be manipulated on the intuitive level with the basis of simplified language of hanok. The structural design algorithm is composed of in the sequence of 1) define roof framing type, 2) define wood type and material properties, 3) define member and section information, 4) define load conditions and calculate loads, 5) calculate member forces, 6) define modification factors and calculate allowable design stresses, 7) check safety and serviceability. The applicability of the developed system was evaluated by appling the system to the actual hanok. The results by the developed system are quite similar to those by the 3-dimensional structural analysis software, and it proved that the developed system has sufficient field applicability in early design stage of hanok.
