Abstract

Transparent electrodes are materials applied to electronic devices such as solar cells and displays. Currently, ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) is commercially used; however, due to its limited resources and rising costs, it is not suitable as a sustainable material. Therefore, there is a need for novel transparent electrode materials to replace ITO. Representative alternatives include AZO (Aluminum-doped Zinc Oxide), silver nanowires, graphene, carbon nanotubes, and PEDOT:PSS. Recently, with advancements in flexible displays and wearable technologies, there is a growing demand for new alternative materials and processing methods. Candidates such as metal nanowires, CNTs, and graphene are being considered, along with the development of large-area, cost-effective manufacturing techniques like roll-to-roll processes. In a country like South Korea, which currently leads the global semiconductor technology landscape, intensive investment and pioneering research in these areas will serve as a solid foundation for maintaining leadership in the semiconductor field in the future.

대표적으로 AZO(Aluminium-doped Zinc Oxide), 은 나노와이어, 그래핀, 탄소나노튜브, PEDOT:PSS 등이다.
