An Analysis of The Effectiveness of A Small Number of Teacher Training Programs Using EduTech Tools

Abstract

As AI enters the educational environment, the demand for education utilizing edutech is increasing in elementary, middle, and high schools. Edutech can be completed by teachers through class innovation, and teachers are the main agents of change. In this study, we analyzed the effects of creating and applying a training program for teachers who will take the lead in edutech. The training program consisted of 8 sessions including edutech utilization methods, edutech utilization class design, teaching and learning and evaluation, and post-class reflection, and was applied to 4 fifth grade teachers through on-site school training. As a result of the program application, we were able to confirm the participating teachers' interest and awareness of edutech and the possibility of changes in edutech capabilities. In addition, through interviews with teachers, we were able to confirm the positive effects of the training program by responding that they enjoyed the process of learning how to utilize edutech, designing classes, and sharing materials with teachers of the same grade, and that it helped them in their ability to utilize edutech in classes. We hope that the results of this study will serve as reference material for schools preparing to introduce edutech.

AI가 교육환경에 들어오면서 초·중·고에서는 에듀테크 활용 교육의 요구가 더 높아지고 있다. 에듀테크는 교사가 수업 혁신을 통해 완성할 수 있으며 변화의 주체가 교사이다. 본 연구에서는 에듀테크를 주도적으로 담당할 교사를 대상으로 연수 프로그램을 만들고 적용한 효과를 분석하였다. 연수 프로그램은 에듀테크 활용 방법, 에듀테크 활용 수업 설계, 교수학습과 평가, 수업 후 성찰을 포함한 8차시로 구성되었으며 찾아가는 학교 연수를 통해 초등 5학년 교사 4명을 대상으로 적용하였다. 프로그램 적용 결과, 참여교사의 에듀테크에 대한 흥미와 인식, 에듀테크 역량 변화의 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 교사의 인터뷰를 통해, 동 학년 교사와 같이 에듀테크 활용법을 배우고 수업을 설계하고 자료를 공유하는 과정이 즐거웠고 에듀테크 활용 수업 능력에 도움이 됐다고 답하여 연수 프로그램의 긍정적 효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구결과는 에듀테크 도입을 준비하는 학교에 참고자료가 되길 기대한다.
