초록

This study aims to overcome the limitations of achieving zero energy performance in mass timber buildings using only ground source heat pump(GSHP) and rooftop photovoltaic(PV) systems. A building-integrated photovoltaic(BIPV) with ventilated cavity system was designed to enhance energy self-sufficiency(ESC) while maintaining architectural aesthetics, and its performance was evaluated through numerical simulation analysis. The ventilated cavity effectively reduced heat accumulation compared with the sealed configuration, but the lower internal temperature did not significantly affect the module surface temperature, resulting in limited short-term efficiency gains. The BIPV system maintained stable electrical efficiency of 14.5-15.0%, with generation concentrated in the morning due to east-side installation. When combined with GSHP and rooftop PV systems, the ESC rate increased to 33.3%, satisfying the zero energy building certification. These findings show that integrating envelope-embedded renewables can enhance ESC in mass timber buildings.
