Abstract

Conventional floor formwork systems using timber and steel plates in bridge girder fabrication have limitations in reusability, leading to reduced construction efficiency and increased environmental burden. This study analyzes the field application performance of a modular composite floor formwork system and evaluates its carbon reduction effect through Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). Field application results show that the proposed system simplifies construction processes and improves work efficiency, resulting in reduced construction time, while ensuring structural stability and surface quality. In addition, LCA conducted in accordance with ISO 14067 confirms a reduction in carbon emissions compared to conventional formwork systems. The results demonstrate the technical and environmental applicability of modular composite floor formwork for sustainable bridge construction
