『BukSanJuGyeong』 : A Study in Terms of Medical History Science

『북산주경』에 대한 의사학적 고찰

『BukSanJuGyeong』 is a book written by ZhuGueng, a medical scientist during the Song Dynasty of China. This book is often cited when referring to the making of liquor in the Song Dynasty when dealing with the history of Chinese liquor. But, existing studies dealing with this book as a whole or considering it from a medical perspective are lacking. However, liquor is widely used medically in Korean medicine. It is worth noting in Korean medicine because 『BukSanJuGyeong』 contains a number of medicinal liquor and yeasts made of herbal medicine. This study examines the background of this book, the type of edition, the structure and content of this book, the attitude toward liquor that ZhuGueng had, and the significance of it to the academic world. In conclusion, the publication of 『BukSanJuGyeong』 is related to the political turbulence experienced by ZhuGueng, and it was confirmed that his medical perspective was reflected in 『BukSanJuGyeong』, and various herbal medicines were used in the manufacture of loquor.
