  • In this paper, all near-rings R are left near-rings and all representations of R are (right) R-groups. We start with a study of AR, almost AR and AGR rings which are motivated by the works on the Sullivan's Problem [10] and its properties. Next, for any R-group G, we introduce a notion of R-groups with M R-property and investigate their properties and some characterizations of these R-groups. Finally, for the faithful M R-property, we get a commutativity of near-rings and rings.

  • In this paper, all rings and all near-rings R are associative, all modules are right R-modules. For a near-ring R, we consider representations of R as R-groups. We start with a study of AGR rings and their properties. Next, for any right R-module M, we define a new concept GM module and investigate the commutative property of faithful GM modules and some characterizations of GM modules. Similarly, for any near-ring R, we introduce an R-group with MR-property and some properties of MR groups.

  • M. $Bre\v{s}ar$ and J. Vukman obtained some results concerning orthogonal derivations in semiprime rings which are related to the result that is well-known to a theorem of Posner for the product of two derivations in prime rings. In this paper, we present orthogonal generalized derivations in semiprime near-rings.

  • The arrangement of encapsulated Ar atoms in the molecular-dimensioned cavities of fully dehydrated zeolite A of unit-cell composition $Cs_3Na_8HSi_{12}Al_{12}O_{48}$ ($Cs_3$-A) has been studied crystallographically to probe the confinement effect of guest species in microporous environment. Atoms of Ar were encapsulated in the cavities of $Cs_3$-A by treatment with 410 atm of Ar at $400^{\circ}C$ for two days, followed by cooling at room temperature. The crystal structure of $Cs_3Na_8H$-A(4Ar) ($P_e$ = 410 atm, $a=12.245(2){\AA}$, $R_1=0.0543$, and $R_2=0.0552$) has been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction technique in the cubic space group $Pm\bar{3}m$ at 21 (1) $^{\circ}C$ and 1 atm. Encapsulated Ar atoms are distributed in three crystallographic distinct positions: 1.5 Ar atoms per unit cell opposite 6-rings, 1.5 opposite four-rings in the large cavity, and finally 1.0 in the sodalite-unit. The possible structures of argon clusters, such as $Ar_2$, $Ar_3$, and $Ar_4$, are proposed.

  • The complexation of co-contaminant mixtures between Ag(I) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) molecules (naphthalene, pyrene, and perylene) were investigated to quantify the equilibrium constants of their complexes and elucidate the interactions between Ag(I) and PAH molecules. The apparent solubilities of PAHs in aqueous solutions increased with increasing Ag(I) ion concentration. The values, K$_1$ and K$_2$ of equilibrium constants of complexes of Ag(I)-PAHs, were 2.990 and 0.378, 3.615 and 1.261, and 4.034 and 1.255, for naphthalene, pyrene, and perylene, respectively, The K$_1$and K$_2$ values of PAHs for Ag(I) increased in the order of naphthalene < pyrene < perylene and naphthalene < pyrene ≒ perylene, respectively, indicating that a larger size of PAH molecule is likely to have more a richer concentration of electrons on the plane surfaces which can lead to stronger complexes with the Ag(I) ion. For the species of Ag(I)-PAH complexes, a 1:1 Ag(I) : the aromatic complex, AgAr$\^$+/, was found to be a predominant species over a 2:1 Ag(I) : aromatic complex, Ag$_2$Ar$\^$++/. The PAH molecules with four or more aromatic rings and/or bay regions were observed to have slightly less affinity with the Ag(I) ion than expected, which might result from inhibiting forces such as the spread of aromatic $\pi$ electrons over o wide molecular surface area and the intermolecular electronic repulsion in bay regions.

  • A wideband circularly polarized (CP) antenna with a single feed is proposed for use in global navigation satellite systems. Its primary radiation elements are composed of two orthogonal bowtie dipoles, which are equipped with double-printed vacant-quarter rings to allow direct matching of the antenna to a single $50-{\Omega}$ coaxial line and to produce CP radiation. The crossed bowtie dipole is appropriately incorporated with a planar metallic reflector to produce the desired unidirectional radiation pattern as well as to achieve a wideband characteristic in terms of impedance matching and axial ratio (AR) bandwidths. The designed antenna was fabricated and measured. The prototype antenna with an overall 1.2-GHz frequency size of $0.48{\lambda}_o{\times}0.48{\lambda}_o{\times}0.25{\lambda}_o$ produced a measured ${\mid}S_{11}{\mid}$<-10 dB bandwidth of 1.05-1.79 GHz and a measured 3-dB AR bandwidth of 1.12-1.64 GHz. It also showed right-hand CP radiation with a small gain variation (${\pm}0.3dB$) and high radiation efficiency (>93%) over the operational bandwidth.

  • For a ring R with an automorphism ${\sigma}$, an n-additive mapping ${\Delta}:R{\times}R{\times}{\cdots}{\times}R{\rightarrow}R$ is called a skew n-derivation with respect to ${\sigma}$ if it is always a ${\sigma}$-derivation of R for each argument. Namely, if n - 1 of the arguments are fixed, then ${\Delta}$ is a ${\sigma}$-derivation on the remaining argument. In this short note, from Bre$\check{s}$ar Theorems, we prove that a skew n-derivation ($n{\geq}3$) on a semiprime ring R must map into the center of R.

  • The Planetary nebula NGC 6881 displays quadrupole morphology and it also has a jet feature in its image. We investigated the line profiles of the optical region spectral emission lines, using the Hamilton Echelle Spectrograph (HES) at the Lick observatory. The HES data obtained in this study was the radiation coming from the inner region within the diameter of 4 second of arc. Expansion velocity was obtained, based on the strong emission line profiles of e.g. H, Hel, Hell, [OIII], [NII], [ArIII], [SII], and [SIII}, using the IRAF and StarLink/Dipso reduction packages. The HI recombination lines showed one single peak profile, while the He and forbidden strong lines displayed double peaks. The results of this study show that the outflow velocity of gas increases radially outwards due to the central stellar radiation pressure. It was concluded that three central rings appeared in the HST image are the result of a combined structure of bipolar cones (seen in e.g. HI lines) and a ring (seen in He, [SIII] lines) in projection.

  • Amorphous $Fe_{50}Zr_{50}$ alloy has been manufactured by mechanical alloying from pure elemental powders of Fe and Zr in conventional ball mill under an Ar atmosphere. Structure and magnetic properties of the amorphous phase were studied by transmission electron microscopy and SQUID magnetometry. Selected area diffraction patterns taken from the mechanically alloyed powders showed two halo rings, indicating coexistence of Fe rich and Zr rich amorphous phases in mechanically alloyed powder. Curie temperature of the Fe rich amorphous phase, measured by Arrot plot, was 195 K. Fe content in the ferromagnetic amorphous phase, estimated from the Curie temperature, was about 65 at%. Spin wave stiffness constant of $Fe_{50} Zr_{50}$ alloys processed for 100 and 200 hrs were 52.2 and 63.8 meV, respectively. The higher spin wave stiffness constant in 200 hrs milled powders may arise from the precipitation of $\alpha$-Fe by partial crystallization of amorphous phase.

  • Conductive carbon films were prepared at room temperature by unbalanced magnetron sputtering (UBMS) on silicon substrates using argon (Ar) gas, and the effects of post-annealing temperature on the structural, tribological, and electrical properties of carbon films were investigated. Films were annealed at temperatures ranging from $400^{\circ}C$ to $700^{\circ}C$ in increments of $100^{\circ}C$ using a rapid thermal annealing method by vacuum furnace in vacuum ambient. The increase of annealing temperature contributed to the increase of the ordering and formation of aromatic rings in the carbon film. Consequently, with increasing annealing temperature the tribological properties of sputtered carbon films are deteriorated while the resistivity of carbon films significantly decreased from $4.5{\times}10^{-3}$ to $1.0{\times}10^{-6}\;{\Omega}-cm$ and carrier concentration as well as mobility increased, respectively. This behavior can be explained by the increase of sp2 bonding fraction and ordering $sp^2$ clusters in the carbon networks caused by increasing annealing temperature.
