글로벌 패션브랜드 광고의 유형 분석 - 패션광고 사진이미지 구성요소와 표현형식을 중심으로 - (Analysis of Advertisement Types of Global Fashion Brands : A study focused on the trends of photo image components and styles of expression in global fashion advertisements.)

  • This study analyzes the trends of photo image components and forms of expression in global fashion advertising photos. First, photo image components are classified into seven categories: location (indoor-outdoor), the model's movement, pose, facial expression, gender, race and number of models. The forms of expression are classified into six categories: direct expression, sensual expression, symbolic expression, storytelling expression, dramatic expression, and sexual expression. With the aforementioned classifications, the trends were studied for three years from 2013 to 2015. The analysis result indicates the following: for the details of photo image components, the portion of indoor photos, static poses and conscious facial expressions was over 60% of the total for every season of the 3 years, while there was a slight increase in the number of models and the diversity of races. For the forms of expression, the sensual expression showed the largest portion accounting for over 50% of the total, followed by direct expression and storytelling expression. The findings from this study show that the trends of photo image components and forms of expression in global fashion advertisements are changing. Therefore, domestic companies will need to develop photo image components and forms of expression in line with the changing global fashion advertisement trends.

현대 패션디자인에서의 콜래보레이션 표현성 - 한국적 문화콘텐츠의 응용을 중심으로 - (The Collaboration Expression in the Modern Fashion Design - Focusing on the Collaboration of Korean Cultural Contents -)

  • This study intends to explore the collaborative expression in the modern fashion design by analyzing the collaboration of motifs symbolizing Korean cultural identity. As for the data research, in order to examine the expressional objects of collaboration in the collections of the fashion designers from Korea and overseas who have applied the Korean culture among their collections posted on the Internet sites, www.firstview.com, and www.style.com from 2005 to 2012 were collected for analysis. 923 pictures used in the analysis sheet. As for the research method, the content analysis method was used. In the modern fashion design, the collaborative expression in the motifs symbolizing Korean cultural identity are limited to tangible expression, intangible expression, integrated expression. The results of this study were as follows. First, in the tangible expression, traditional tangible assets are used in the shapes, items, colors, materials, patterns and details to symbolize uniquely Korean image. The intangible expression, the applicability for Korean intangible assets include the master's (intangible cultural assets) and the craftsmanship of the modern designers being collaborated onto the contemporary customs to express the Korean traditional culture in a realistic or an abstract trend. The hybride expression, it is to represent Korean thoughts and values using the tangible elements. Second, The expressivity of collaboration of each year mostly shows integrated expression, intangible expression and tangible expression were shown respectively. The trend of seasonal collaboration expressivity was muchly the integrated expression in most seasons, and intangible expression and tangible expression followed respectively. It is recognizable that the expressivity of collaboration of each designer was; integrated expression was muchly shown in Lie Sang Bong and Lee Young Hee's works, Duri Jung showed much of intangible expression, and much tangible expressivity was shown in Carolina Herrera.

얼굴 표정공간에서 최적의 표정전이경로 자동 설정 방법 (Auto Setup Method of Best Expression Transfer Path at the Space of Facial Expressions)

  • 본 논문은 애니메이터로 하여금 표정공간으로부터 임의의 표정상태 수 개를 선택하도록 하면, 최적의 표정전이경로를 자동적으로 설정하도록 해줌으로써, 얼굴 표정 애니메이션을 실시간적으로 생성하거나 표정 제어가 가능하도록 하기 위한 기법을 기술한다. 표정공간은 약 2500개의 얼굴 표정상태 간의 거리를 구하고, 다차원 스케일링 기법을 사용하여 2차원 평면에 분포시킴으로서 형성된다. 표정공간에서 최적의 표정전이경로를 설정하기 위해서는 임의의 얼굴 표정상태를 기준으로 사분면처럼 4개의 영역으로 나눈다. 그리고 각 영역별로 최단거리에 존재하는 열굴 표정상태를 결정하고, 그 중에서 가장 가까운 얼굴 표정상태를 선택하여 전이시키고, 전이가 끊어진 얼굴 표정상태에서는 두 번째, 세 번째 혹은 네 번째로 가까운 얼굴 표정상태를 선택하여 순서대로 전이시킴으로써 완전한 표정전이경로가 결정된다. 그리고 애니메이터가 표정공간에서 대표적인 수 개의 표정상태만을 선택해주면 시스템은 자동적으로 최적의 표정전이경로를 설정하여 준다. 본 논문은 애니메이터들로 하여금 본 시스템을 사용하여 얼굴 애니메이션을 생성하거나 표정 제어를 수행하도록 하였으며, 그 결과를 평가한다.

Down-regulation of miR-34a Expression in Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia with Human Papillomavirus Infection and Its Relationship with p53 Expression

  • microRNAs (miRNAs) play pivotal roles in controlling cell proliferation and differentiation. miRNA expression in human is becoming recognized as a new molecular mechanism of carcinogenesis. microRNA-34a (miR-34a), a member of the p53 network, was found to be regulated in multiple types of tumor. The purpose of this study was to define roles of miR-34a expression in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia with human papillomavirus infection, and its relationship with p53 protein expression. This study was performed to analyze expression of miR-34a by using qRT-PCR, and to evaluate p53 protein expression by using immunohistochemistry in 40 cases. Down-regulation of miR-34a expression was detected in 27 (67.5%) out of 40 cases and Immunoreactivity for p53 was found in 17 (42.5%) out of 40 cases. Nineteen (82.6%) of the 23 cases with a negative p53 expression showed a down-regulation miR-34a expression, there was a significant associations between miR-34a and p53 protein expression (P=0.04). These results suggest that miRNA-34a expression tend to be reduced depending on the advanced histologic grade, and down-regulation of miR-34a expression might be associated with inactivation of p53 protein expression by human papillomavirus infection.

Prognostic Significance of Sirtuins Expression in Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma

  • Background and Objectives: Sirtuins (SIRTs) play important roles in cellular and organismal homeostasis. They have distinct gene expression patterns in various cancers; however, the relationship between SIRT expression and the progression of thyroid cancer is unclear. We investigated the expression of SIRTs in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) and their role as biomarkers for predicting the aggressiveness of this disease. Materials and Methods: We used immunohistochemical staining to evaluate the expression of SIRT1 and SIRT3 in tumor specimens from 270 patients with PTC. We also evaluated the potential association between SIRT expression and diverse clinicopathological features. Results: High SIRT1 expression was negatively correlated with lymphovascular invasion, central lymph node metastasis, and lateral lymph node metastasis. Multivariate analyses revealed that high SIRT1 expression was a negative independent risk factor for lateral lymph node metastasis. By contrast, high SIRT3 expression was positively correlated with locoregional recurrence. Interestingly, when patients were grouped by tumor SIRT expression patterns, the group with low SIRT1 expression and high SIRT3 expression was correlated with more aggressive cancer phenotypes including central lymph node metastasis and lateral lymph node metastasis. Conclusion: Our results suggest that SIRTs play dual roles in tumor progression, and the combination of decreased SIRT1 expression and increased SIRT3 expression is significantly associated with a poor prognosis in patients with PTC.

표정 강도에 강건한 얼굴 표정 인식 (Robust Facial Expression-Recognition Against Various Expression Intensity)

  • 본 연구는 표정 인식률을 개선하기 위한, 강도가 다른 표정을 인식하는 새로운 표정 인식 방법을 제안한다. 사람마다 다르게 나타나는 표정과 표정마다 다른 강도는 표정 인식률 저하에 지대한 영향을 미친다. 하지만 얼굴 표정의 다양한 강도를 처리하는 방법은 많이 제시되지 않고 있다. 본 연구에서는 표정 템플릿과 표정 강도 분포모델을 이용하여 다양한 얼굴 표정 강도를 인식하는 방법을 제시한다. 표정 템플릿과 표정강도 분포모델은 얼굴의 특징 부위에 표시한 관심 점과 얼굴 특징 부위간의 움직임이 다른 표정과 강도에 따라 어떻게 달라지는지 설명하여 표정 인식률 개선에 기여한다. 제안 방법은 정지 이미지뿐만 아니라 비디오시퀀스에서도 빠른 측정 과정을 통해 다양한 강도의 표정을 인식할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 실험 결과, 제안 연구가 특히 약한 강도의 표정에 대해 타 방법보다 높은 인식 결과를 보여 제안 방법이 다양한 강도의 표정 인식에 강건함을 알 수 있다.

FCM 클러스터링을 이용한 표정공간의 단계적 가시화 (Phased Visualization of Facial Expressions Space using FCM Clustering)

  • 본 논문은 사용자로 하여금 표정공간으로부터 일련의 표정들을 선택하게 함으로써 3차원 아바타의 표정을 제어할 수 있는 표정공간의 단계적 가시화 기법을 기술한다. 본 기법에 의한 시스템은 무표정 상태를 포함하여 11개의 서로 다른 모션들로 구성된 2400여개의 표정 프레임으로 2차원 표정공간을 구성하였으며, 3차원 아바타의 표정 제어는 사용자가 표정공간을 항해함으로서 수행되어진다. 그러나 표정공간에서는 과격한 표정 변화에서부터 세밀한 표정 변화까지 다양한 표정 제어를 수행할 수 있어야하기 때문에 단계적 가시화 기법이 필요하다. 표정공간을 단계적으로 가시화하기 위해서는 퍼지 클러스터링을 이용한다. 초기 단계에서는 11개의 클러스터 센터를 가지도록 클러스터링하고, 단계가 증가될 때 마다 클러스터 센터의 수를 두 배씩 증가시켜 표정들을 클러스터링한다. 이때 클러스터 센터와 표정공간에 분포된 표정들의 위치는 서로 다른 경우가 많기 때문에, 클러스터 센터에서 가장 가까운 표정상태를 찾아 클러스터 센터로 간주한다. 본 논문은 본 시스템이 어떤 효과가 있는지를 알기 위해 사용자들로 하여금 본 시스템을 사용하여 3차원 아바타의 단계적 표정 제어를 수행하게 하였으며, 그 결과를 평가한다.

패션매거진 Vogue의 패션사진에 나타난 이미지 표현형식 및 모델 포즈의 활용유형 분석 (Analysis of Vogue Magazine on Forms of Image Expression and Utilization of Model Poses in Fashion Photos)

  • The study aims to examine the forms of 'image expression' and utilization of model poses in fashion photos, and to delve into the characteristics and the intents that make certain model poses effective in expressing an image. The study used the fashion photos in the fashion magazine, Vogue, to analyze the different model poses used to express different images. The results are as follows. First, image expression forms in fashion photos were categorized into 'direct product suggestion expression form', 'sensual image expression form', 'sexual image expression form', 'story telling expression form', 'everyday situation expression form', and 'fantastic image expression form'. The different utilization types of model poses were categorized into 'type utilizing intangible elements', 'type utilizing complicated elements', 'type utilizing living organisms', 'type utilizing props', 'type utilizing clothes', 'type utilizing location', 'type utilizing accessories', and 'type utilizing products'. Second, the most common expression form for fashion photos used in advertisements was the 'direct product suggestion expression form', which was followed by the sensual image expression form. The most popular form used in the editorial fashion photos was the direct suggestion product expression form, which was followed by the story telling expression form. Third, the most common model pose type for direct product suggestion form was the 'type utilizing product'. Fourth, 'direct product suggestion expression form' was mostly used in editorial fashion photos. The most common utilization types of model poses were 'type utilizing clothes', 'type utilizing props', and 'type utilizing place'.

BIBFRAME에서 RDA Toolkit Beta 대표표현형 적용 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the BIBFRAME's Acceptance of Representative Expression of RDA Toolkit Beta)

  • 본고는 2019년 RDA Toolkit Beta가 개발됨에 따라 BIBFRAME에서 RDA Toolkit Beta 대표표현형 요소의 적용 방안을 모색하기 위해 연구방법으로 문헌연구와 RDA Toolkit Beta와 BIBFRAME 속성의 매핑방법을 사용하였다. BIBFRAME에서 RDA Toolkit Beta의 대표표현형 요소를 적용하기 위한 방안으로 다음의 사항을 제안하였다. 첫째, RDA Toolkit Beta에서는 표현형의 속성과 저작으로 전가된 대표표현형 요소를 별도로 구분하고 있으므로 BIBFRAME에서도 저작으로 전가된 대표표현형 요소를 구분하여 정의할 필요가 있다. 이를 위해 (1) 대표표현형을 위한 요소를 완전히 새로 개발하는 것 (2) RepresentativeExpression이라는 한정어를 정의하고 이를 기존 속성에 결합하여 대표표현형 속성으로 사용하는 것 (3) 클래스를 기존 속성에 결합해 대표표현형 속성으로 구분해 사용하는 것의 3가지 방안을 제시하였다. 둘째, BIBFRAME에서 저작과 저작에 대표표현형 속성을 제공한 대표표현형을 상호 연계시킬 수 있는 관계 요소로 를 추가할 것을 제시하였다. 본고는 LRM을 반영한 RDA를 BIBFRAME에서 적용하는 방안을 모색하였다는 점에서 추후 BIBFRAME의 개정에도 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

Environmental stress-related gene expression and blood physiological responses in olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) exposed to osmotic and thermal stress

  • We isolated warm temperature acclimation-related protein 65-kDa (Wap65) cDNA from the liver of olive flounder and investigated the mRNA expression of Wap65 and HSP70 in olive flounder exposed to osmotic (17.5, 8.75, and 4 psu) and thermal stress (25 and $30^{\circ}C$). The mRNA expression of Wap65 and HSP70 was increased by thermal stress. The mRNA expression of HSP70 was also increased by osmotic stress, whereas no significant change in Wap65 expression was detected. These results indicate that Wap65 mRNA expression occurs specifically in response to increases in water temperature, but not in response to osmotic stress. Plasma cortisol levels were also increased by osmotic and thermal stress. We also utilized the stress hormone cortisol to examine whether Wap65 expression is thermal-stress-specific. Cortisol treatment increased HSP70 mRNA expression in vitro, but had no significant effect on Wap65 mRNA expression. Thus, thermal stress, but not osmotic stress, induces Wap65 expression.
