We prove the existence of initial L-fuzzy (quasi-)uniform structures. From this fact, we can define subspaces and products of L-fuzzy (quasi-)uniform spaces.

We introduce the notion of (L, e)-filters with fuzzy partially order e on complete residuated lattice L. We investigate (L, e)-filters induced by the family of (L, e)-filters and functions. In fact, we study the initial and final structures for the family of (L, e)-filters and functions. From this result, we define the product and co-product for the family of (L, e)-filters and functions.

Background: The Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy - Breast (FACT-B) scale is widely used to measure health-related quality of life in cancer patients. The aim of the present study is to validate the FACT-B in a sample of Iranian women with breast cancer. Materials and Methods: The sample consisted of 300 women selected through non-random convenient sampling procedure from oncology hospitals and clinics in Kermanshah and Shiraz cities. They were asked to fill in the Persian versions of the FACT-B scale, Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer quality of life EORTC QLQ30. Confirmatory factorial analysis of the methods, concurrent validity and discriminant, and Cronbach's alpha for internal consistency were applied. Results: Internal consistency using Cronbach's alpha was 0.63 to 0.93 for the subscales and 0.92 for the total scale. Significant correlations between FACT-B and other measures indicate that this scale had concurrent and discriminant validity. The values of fit indices were satisfactory. Conclusions: The Persian version of the FACT-B scale is valid and reliable and, therefore, the scale can be used in research and clinical settings to assess health-related quality of life in Iranian patients with breast cancer.

Coleridge's fame as a poet rests on the achievement of the mystery poems, "The Anceint Mariner," "Kubla Khan," and "Christabel." Coleridge's achievement in "Christabel" goes far beyond what previous critics have imagined. Coleridge is one of a handful of great writers who are included as representatives of androgyny. Throughout his life, Coleridge was accustomed to point out feminine qualities within himself. "Christabel" exemplifies the kind of writing contemporary feminist theories call l'écriture féminine. L'écriture féminine is not necessarily the creation of women but may rather be the works of those who refuse to identify with the father and the laws of paternal discourse. "Christabel" becomes Coleridge's most daring symbolic story. "Christabel" appears in its full significance as a vehicle for some profound insights into the dynamics of relationships between men and women, fathers and daughters. Through her deformity, Geraldine is actually the casualty of her father's hatred of women, and is the embodiment of all its anti-virtual aspects. The poem shows no bitterness against women, only compassion and remorse. Coleridge is sympathetically presenting Christabel's suffering as a woman at the hands of an overmastering man. Also, "Christabel" demonstrates woman power as well. In fact, the one person whose tales have any real effect within this narrative is the ambiguous Geraldine. Geraldine excels at story-telling, at making words act for her. Perhaps, despite the appearance of the surface, in which men hold all the cards, it is in fact women, or the feminine, so necessary to procreation and creativity, who hold sway here. This apparent dominion of the feminine derives at least partly from Coleridge's use of the conventions of that feminine genre, the Gothic romance. L'écriture féminine is a concept defined by its divergence from a dominant cultural norm. One may speculate that the fragmentary state of "Christabel" and "Kubla Khan" is in fact congruent with this mode of writing. If these poems imply a theoretical écriture féminine, they are by definition "incomplete," for completeness is a standard of patriarchal language and culture. More perplexing even than the other "mystery poems," "Christabel" is the true fragment of the three.

In this paper, we introduce the notions of soft L-fuzzy preproximities in complete residuated lattices. We prove the existence of initial soft L-fuzzy preproximities. From this fact, we define subspaces and product spaces for soft L-fuzzy preproximity spaces. Moreover, we give their examples.

This study is a single group before-and-after study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of additional acupuncture therapy for lung cancer patients being treated with chemotherapy. Acupuncture therapy was conducted twice a day at least for a week. The effectiveness outcome measures were the Korean Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy (FACT-L) and the Korean Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy-Fatigue (FACIT-F) at the baseline, discharge and four weeks after discharge, and visual analogue scale(VAS) checked daily from the baseline to discharge. Ten patients were enrolled, one patient had excluded due to acute exacerbation of lung cancer. The data of nine patients showed some improvement in all of FACT-L, FACIT-F and VAS, however, there were no statistical significance. Additional acupuncture therapy for lung cancer patients treated with chemotherapy might be beneficial to improve the quality of life(QoL) and to improve fatigue. Prospective trials with complex traditional Korean medicine interventions are needed to further investigation.

It is proved that $K(c_0,Y)$ is an M-ideal in $L(c_0,Y)$ if Y is a closed subspace of $c_0$. And a new direct proof of the fact that $K(L_1[0,1],\ell_1)$ is not an M-ideal in $L(L_1[0,1],\ell_1)$ is given.

Objectives : This study was to verify the Attributive Channel theory of herbal medicine. Methods : [13lI]iodocurcumin was synthesized, separated, and refined from curcumin, the major component of Curcuma species, followed by observing the biodistribution in an organism. Especially, from the fact that curcumin has shown to possess potent anti-carcinogenic properties, the biodistribution in the carcinogenesis organism was analyzed. Result : Iodocurcumin 23mg was obtained through column chromatography after a reaction with 50mg of Curcumin and ICl. The nominal yield of [13lI]iodocurcumin synthesis was 35% when checked with radioactive layer of chromatography. [13lI]iodocurcumin was most largely distributed in the stomach of a BALB/c mouse and a C57BL/6 mouse transplanted with Lewis lung carcinoma cell. Conclusion : The fact that [13lI]iodocurcumin was most largely distributed in the stomach was related with the Attributive Channel theory. And there was no significant finding related to tumor cells.

In Minkowskian 3-spacetime $L^3$ we find timelike or spacelike surface of revolution for the given Gauss curvature K = -1, 0, 1 and mean curvature H = 0. In fact, we set up the surface of revolution with the time axis for z-axis to be able to draw those surfaces on standard pictures in Minkowskian 3-spacetime $L^3$.

Since John and Nirenberg introduced the BMO in early 1960 [JN], it has been one of the most significant function spaces. The significance of BMO lies in the fact that BMO is a limiting space of $L^p (p \longrightarrow \infty)$, or a proper substitute of $L^\infty$. A dual statement of this would be that the Hardy space $H^1$ is a proper substitute of $L^1$.
