The Influences on Self-Efficacy to Quality of Mobile Financial Information Systems (자기효능감이 모바일 금융 정보 시스템 품질에 미치는 영향)

  • The rapid pace of adoption of mobile handsets has created new mobile financial services. The success of mobile financial information systems will depend on consumer self-efficacy and a sound business model. Self-efficacy has been described as the belief that one is capable of performing in a certain manner to attain certain goals. This is directly related to consumer behavior, but it also affects consumer behaviors indirectly through its impact on goals. And self-efficacy influences the challenges that people take on as well as how high they set their goals. The objective of the study to investigates the effect of self-efficacy on mobile financial information systems. In order to do that, self-efficacy, mobile financial information systems reliability, mobile financial information systems use intensity are conceptualized by survey questionnaire. Our empirical analysis based on 462 survey data shows that self-efficacy effects on mobile financial information systems quality. In addition we also found that self-efficacy effects on mobile financial systems reliability and usage intention. And we found that mobile financial information systems reliability effects on mobile financial systems use intention. And we also found that mobile financial information systems usage intention effects mobile financial systems quality.

A Study on the Financial Program Development for Farm household - farm household financial management and financial information needs (농가재무관리 교육프로그램 개발을 위한 기초조사 -농가 재무관리 실태 및 재무정보 요구분석을 중심으로-)

  • This study investigates the reports about financial management and financial information needs in farm household, to development financial education program for farm household. The results were as follows: 1) Financial management was carried of husband (49%), husband and wife (31.0%) and wife (15.2%) 2) Farm households demand of financial information was selling for farm products(66.5%), farm management(65.1), keeping budget(52.6%) and consumer information(42.6%). 3) The variables (sex, age, Education, farming type) have statistically significant on test of financial knowledge. 4) On the basis of results, for the stabilization of rural economy it is necessary to maximize and stabilize the rural house hold income however, it is also necessary to educate the rural people by providing the ways and means to efficiently manage the income. Thus various financial management programs and educational resources should be developed and provided to the agriculture household finance managers and the instructors in Agricultural Technology Development Center. Specially, according to the financial knowledge test as the demand of financial information in the group of respondents who answered ‘don’t know’ is higher than the demand in the group of right or wrong answers it is quite urgent to develop and provide the financial education programs and financial resources for these people.

Determinants of The Level of Information Distribution on Financial Statement

  • Purpose: Interim financial statements provide timely and qualified financial information for users. Hence, the importance of the interim financial statement is increasingly noticeable among information users. This research studies determinants of interim financial statements disclosure in Vietnamese-listed enterprises. Research design, data and methodology: The sample is 55 enterprises listed in VNIndex and is in the list of Forbes top 100 largest companies in 2020. Data was collected from interim financial statements for four years, from 2018 to 2021. GMM is used in this study. Results: The regression analysis results show that reporting lag has a positive impact on the level of information distribution of interim financial reporting; companies audited by BIG4 tend to have a higher level of information disclosure. The higher the return on assets, the more disclosure is made; the larger the company size, the greater the disclosure level. Owner equity structure and Leverage do not affect the disclosure level of interim financial reporting. Conclusions: The information disclosure level on the interim financial statement should be improved to increase transparency. In addition to continuing to encourage these companies to provide more information voluntarily, government authorities should have effective regulations to require sufficient information disclosure from other listed companies.

The Influences of Participatory Management and Corporate Governance on the Reduction of Financial Information Asymmetry: Evidence from Thailand

  • The purposes of this research were: 1) to investigate the effect of participatory management on financial information asymmetry, 2) to investigate the effect of corporate governance on financial information asymmetry, 3) to examine the influences of benefits incentives on financial information asymmetry, and 4) to test the mediating effects of benefits incentive that influences the relationship between participatory management, corporate governance, and financial information asymmetry. The research sample consisted of 388 Thai-listed firms. Data were collected through a survey questionnaire. Descriptive analysis, Multiple Regression Analysis, and Structural Equation Modeling were used for the data analysis. The results revealed: 1) participatory management and participation in evaluation had a negative influence on financial information asymmetry. 2) Corporate governance and the rights of shareholders had a negative influence on financial information asymmetry. 3) Benefits incentive was negatively associated with financial information asymmetry. 4) The model's influences of participatory management, corporate governance on the reduction of financial information asymmetry through benefits incentive as mediator fit the empirical data (Chi-square = 104.459, df = 84, p = 0.065, GFI = 0.967, RMSEA = 0.025). The variables in the model explained 78.00% and 4.70 % of the variance of benefits incentive and financial information asymmetry, respectively.

  • Nowadays changes of financial environment are internalization, generalization and autonomous system. The most importance in a struggle for existence is to secure a customer. The purpose of this study is to analyze whether information on financial service accounts have fully offered over internet, which information consumers needed in buying financial service accounts and whether consumer have satisfied with offered information Through this, to enhance the efficiency of financial information offered to consumer over internet and to explore the consumer demanding information model by finding the problems of offering financial information. The specific purpose of this study me following; 1. to investigate the actual situation which consumers behaviour of information providing and choosing about financial accounts items on internet. 2. to analyze the relationship between the level of consumer information need about financial information and rotated variables. 3. to analyze the relationship between the level of consumer information satisfaction about financial information over internet and related variables. 4. to analyze the new information financial service and contents. 5. to analyze the informatic information and financial service accounts.

  • Electronic financial accidents are constantly happening and these accidents are taking place by a combination of several causes such as technique, human, and structure. Among electronic financial accidents, personal information disclosure is most frequently happening and becomes big problems, because secondary damage like voice phishing causes great loss to society. This research model is that financial information security compliance affects the crisis response of financial institutions and financial authorities and these crisis responses affect financial information security trust. Research target is people who experienced the disclosure of their own financial information. For empirical verification, survey questionnaires were distributed and total 103 questionnaires were collected and analyzed. As results of data analysis, all hypotheses were accepted. First, financial information security compliance influenced the crisis response of financial institutions and authorities. Second, the crisis response of financial institutions and authorities affect financial information security trust. Third, at the moderating effect analysis, the importance of personal financial information moderated the effect of the crisis response of financial institutions on financial information security trust. And the disclosure level of personal financial information moderated the effect of the crisis response of financial authorities on financial information security trust.

  • This research conducted research on the provision of the strategic information for the companies' financial and accounting parts among the functions that are provided by the ERP, elements related to the adoption of financial information system that influence and that supports decision-making and management performance. The results of this research are as follows. First, organization's degree of decentralization among the organization structure's characteristics and the element of information technology infrastructure among the information technology characteristics does not affect financial or non-financial performance. Second, financial information characteristics do not affect financial performance partially, Third, organization's size does not play the role of adjuster when it comes to the financial performance. Fourth, some research variables used on this research were not analyzed as important elements that influence financial performance, but the analysis showed that they mostly influence non-financial performance, which means that these are what could be considered strategically when adopting financial information system in the future.

  • This paper attempts to study the impact of Financial Literacy on Youth Entrepreneurial Intent in Pakistan. A closed-ended self-administered structured questionnaire covering financial literacy, computer knowledge, financial attitude, and financial knowledge with Entrepreneurial Intent was collected from young entrepreneurs. The research tried to investigate the education level with computer skill to inspect the effect of financial literateness on young generation Entrepreneurial Intent in the context of Pakistan. The research model was tested using PLS-SEM and authenticating a measurement model through the advanced methodology and their association with Entrepreneurial Intent. Results revealed that financial literacy and its two parts (financial attitude and financial knowledge) have a positive impact on Entrepreneurial Intent. The size of the joint impact of financial literacy and its components on Entrepreneurial Intent was assessed to be adequate. Entrepreneurial Intent is essential for creating new firms to maintain economic development. Furthermore, it is determined in this research that if youth has better financial knowledge and financial attitude, the probability of Entrepreneurial Intent increases. This suggests that if the youth in Pakistan desire to attain a higher limit of Entrepreneurial Intent, they must implement financial literacy models for enhancing and promoting their current Entrepreneurial Intent.

  • With the development of deep learning techniques, text mining is producing breakthrough performance improvements, promising future applications, and practical use cases across many fields. Likewise, even though several attempts have been made in the field of financial information, few cases apply the current technological trends. Recently, companies and government agencies have attempted to conduct research and apply text mining in the field of financial information. First, in this study, we investigate various works using text mining to show what studies have been conducted in the financial sector. Second, to broaden the view of financial application, we provide a description of several text mining techniques that can be used in the field of financial information and summarize various paradigms in which these technologies can be applied. Third, we also provide practical cases for applying the latest text mining techniques in the field of financial information to provide more tangible guidance for those who will use text mining techniques in finance. Lastly, we propose potential future research topics in the field of financial information and present the research methods and utilization plans. This study can motivate researchers studying financial issues to use text mining techniques to gain new insights and improve their work from the rich information hidden in text data.

Countermeasure for Preventing a Secondary Damage of Information Leakage using Financial ISAC (금융 ISAC을 활용한 정보유출 2차피해 방지 방안)

  • As security management center of financial area, financial ISAC monitors financial corporations and provides security services. Financial ISAC minimizes damage by responding quickly to external attack such as hacking, virus but it is poor at handling internal attack. For the efficient management and stable operation of information source, also to respond jointly to online hacking, the necessity of information sharing system increases day by day in and outside country. This paper proposes financial ISAC that can prevent a secondary damage of leakage information as well as providing security services. The proposed financial ISAC provides new password to financial corporation in which the same ID and password as leakage information are used and in case of financial information leakage it warns customers against phishing etc.
