  • 본 논문에서는 비선형 시스템인 척추동물의 Inferior Olive 뉴론을 대상으로 center manifold와 normal form 해를 통하여 bifurcation해석을 한다. IO 모델에 고정점이 있음을 보이고, 3차 항까지 근사를 하며 행렬 기저벡터를 통하여 해를 구하는 과정을 제시한다.

  • 쥐에 sodium selenite 를 피하주사하여 연수에 분포하는 아연이 풍부한 뉴런의 세포체 위치를 autometallography 방법으로 조사하였다. 표지된 세포체의 분포양상은 앞쪽 부위에서 뒤쪽 부위까지 다양하였다. 표지된 세포체는 C1 adrenaline cells, gigantocellular reticular uncleus, inferior olive, paragigantocellular uncleus, prepositus hypoglossal uncleus, raphe obscurus uncleus, 및 reticular uncleus 부위에 나타났다.

Responses of Inferior Olive Neurons to Stimulation of Semicircular Canals

  • In spite of abundant anatomical evidences for the fiber connection between vestibular nuclei and inferior olivary (IO) complex, the transmission of vestibular information through the vestibulo- olivo-cerebellar climbing fiber pathway has not been physiologically established. The aims of the present study were to investigate whether there are IO neurons specifically responding to horizontal rotation and also in which subregions of IO complex these vestibularly-activated neurons are located. The extracellular recording was made in 68 IO neurons and responses of 46 vestibularly-activated cells were analyzed. Most of the vestibularly-activated IO neurons responded to signals of vertical rotation (roll), while a small number (13/46) of recorded cells were activated by horizontal canal signal (yaw). Regardless of yaw-sensitive or roll-sensitive, vestibular IO neurons were excited, when the animal was rotated to the side contralateral to the recording side. The gain and excitation phase were very similar to otolithic or vertical-canal responses. Histologic identification of recording sites showed that most of vestibular IO neurons were located in ${\beta}$ subnucleus. Electrical stimulation of a HSC evoked an inhibitory effect on the excitability of the ipsilateral IO neurons. These results suggest that IO neurons mainly in the ${\beta}$ subnucleus receive vestibular signals from semicircular canals and otolithic organs, encode them, and transmit vestibular information to the cerebellum.

  • In the present study, the vestibularly evoked activity of inferior olive (IO) neurons was examined to investigate the vertical vestibular information transmitted through the vestibulo-olivo-cerebellar climbing fiber pathway. The extracellular recording was made in 74 neurons of the IO of cats, while animals were sinusoidally rotated. Most of vestibularly activated IO neurons responded to the vertical rotation (roll) test and were found in or near the ${\beta}$ subnuclei $(IO{\beta})$. The vestibular IO neurons were activated, when the animal was rotated to the side contralateral to the recording site. In contrast to the observation that the gain of responses of yaw sensitive cells (YSC) was not changed by the rotation frequency, that of the roll-sensitive cells (RSC) decreased as the rotation frequency was increased. Regardless of RSC or HSC, IO neurons showed the tendency of phase-lag in their responses. The alternating excitatory and inhibitory phases of responses of RSC were dependent on the direction of head orientation, the characteristics of which are the null response plane (NRP) and the optimal response plane (ORP). The analysis based on the NRP of RSC showed that vestibular inputs from the ipsilateral anterior semicircular canal induced the NRP of the RSC response at about 45 degree counterclockwise to the longitudinal axis of the animal, and that those inputs were distributed to RSC in the rostral part of $IO{\beta}$. On the other hand, those from the posterior semicircular canal were related with the NRP at about 45 degree clockwise and with the caudal part of the $IO{\beta}$. These results suggest that IO neurons receive and encode the vestibular information, the priority of which seems to be the vertical component of the body movement rather than the horizontal ones.

배합사료와 생사료로 사육한 넙치의 체조성 및 육질 비교 평가 (Comparative Evaluation of Proximate Composition and Muscle Quality according to the Olive Flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) fed Extruded Pellets and Raw Fish-Based Moist Pellet)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the quality characteristics (proximate composition, fatty acids, amino acids and sensory properties) of whole body and dorsal muscle in olive flounder, which is switch size from juvenile to growing fed extruded pellets (EP) and raw fish-based moist pellet (MP) for 9 months. Sample was collected at 5 and 9 months to compare with those of EP and MP. Whole body crude protein of fish fed EP at 9 months was significantly higher than that of fish fed MP (P<0.05). Linolenic acid(18:3) and n-6/n-3 ratio in dorsal muscle of fish fed EP were significantly higher than those of fish fed MP (P<0.05). No significant differences were observed in the results of the flavor, color, taste and texture of the muscle of the fish fed EP compared to those fed MP (P>0.05). Based on the experimental results, we concluded that olive flounder cultured with EP is not inferior to those fed MP for quality characteristics of whole body and muscle.

180일령 넙치 Paralichthys oilvaceus의 성장형질에 대한 유전모수 추정 및 유전능력평가 재현성 검정 (Estimation of Genetic Parameters and Reproductivity Test of Genetic Evaluation for Growth-related Traits of olive Flounder Paralichthys olivaceus at 180 Days of Age)

  • 본 연구는 2005년에 생산한 넙치 선발 1세대의 초기 성장에 대한 유전모수 및 유전능력평가 결과의 재현성을 검정하기 위해 부화 후 180일령 넙치의 성장형질 측정치를 EM-REML 알고리즘(Misztal, 2001)을 이용하여 유전모수와 육종가를 추정하였으며, 추정된 육종가를 기준으로 선발된 우량 친어와 열등한 친어간의 교배에 의해 2006년에 생산된 가계를 이용하여 유전 능력평가의 재현성을 검정하였다. 넙치 선발 1세대의 부화 후 180일령 체중, 전장, 체고, 체형 지수 및 비만도의 유전력은 각각 0.564, 0.590, 0.588, 0.306, 0.332로 추정되었다. 체중 및 전장의 각 교매그룹별 최소자승평균치에 있어서 우량친어간의 교배에 의해 생산된 가계($S{\times}S$)가 각각 $145.6{\pm}1.8\;g$, $22.4{\pm}0.1\;cm$로 나타났고, 우량친어와 열등친어간의 교배에 의해 생산된 가계($S{\times}I$)가 각각 $133.2{\pm}2.5\;g$, $22.1{\pm}0.1\;cm$로 나타났으며, 열등친어간의 교배에 의해 생산된 가계($I{\times}I$)가 각각 $114.0{\pm}2.1\;g$, $21.1{\pm}0.1\;cm$로 나타났다. 체형 관련 형질인 체형지수와 비만도의 각 교배그룹별 최소자승평균치에 있어서, $S{\times}S$ 가계가 각각 $2.756{\pm}0.005$, $12.74{\pm}0.04$로 나타났고, $S{\times}I$가계가 각각 $2.817{\pm}0.008$, $12.20{\pm}0.06$으로 나타났며, $I{\times}I$가계가 각각 $2.863{\pm}0.007$, $11.90{\pm}0.05$로 나타났다. 이상의 결과에서 넙치의 성장초기인 부화 후 180일령의 유전력은 대체적으로 높게 추정되어 선발육종 대상어종으로 적합한 것으로 판단되며, 유전능력평가의 재현성도 높은 것으로 나타났다.

3-AP로 인한 소뇌병변 흰쥐에서 운동과 저출력 레이저가 행동변화에 미치는 영향 (The effects of Exercise and Low-Power Laser on the Changes of the behavior in the Cerebellar Injured rats by 3-Acetylpyridine)

  • The purposes of this study were to test the effects of the low power laser and exercise on the recovery in the cerebellar injured rats by 3-Acetylpyridine. Cerebellar injury was induced by 3-Acetylpyridine chemoablation of the inferior olive. Thirty Sprague-Dawley rats were assigned to the normal control and 3AP control and 3 experimental groups. Each experimental group was treated from 5 days after being injured for the 5 min(laser group), 10 min(exercise group) and 15min(exercise with laser) everyday during the 2 weeks. The Hindlimb splay test, Vestibular drop test, Hindlimb stride width test, Maximal Height Vertical Jump test were examined at pre-treatment on 1st day and 5th, 10th, 14th days after treatment on the cerebellar injured rats by 3AP. The results of this experiment were as follows; There were significantly increased exercise on the 3 experimental groups comparied with the 3AP control group, in the Hindlimb splay test, Vestibular drop test, Hindlimb stride width test, and Maximal Height Jump test(P<.05).

3-Acetylpyridine에 의한 운동실조 동물모델에서 로타로드 운동과 전침이 근활성도와 혈청 BDNF에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Rotarod Exercise and Electroacupuncture on Muscle Activity and Serum BDNF Level in the Ataxic Rats by the 3-Acetylpyridine)

  • 3-Acetylpyridine(3-AP)는 아래올리브핵을 선택적으로 파괴함으로써, 소뇌 손상을 유발하는 신경독소이다. 본 연구에서는 3-AP의 투여로 운동실조가 유발된 동물모델에서 로타로드 운동과 전침이 후지의 근활성도와 혈청 BDNF에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구를 위해 실험동물을 대조군, 3-AP군, 운동군, 전침군 그리고 운동전침군으로 무작위 배치하였다. 3-AP군의 최대점핑수직높이는 대조군에 비해 유의하게 감소하였고, 로타로드 운동과 전침의 적용 이후 점차 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 후지의 근활성도는 3-AP의 투여로 유의하게 증가하였고, 치료적 중재 이후 약간의 감소를 보였다. 3-AP군의 혈청 BDNF 농도는 대조군보다 유의하게 증가하였고, 운동군, 전침군 그리고 운동전침군에서는 3-AP군보다 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 통해 로타로드 운동과 전침은 운동실조 동물모델의 기능적 회복에 긍정적인 치료효과를 가지는 것으로 생각된다.

흰쥐의 내측 전정신경핵 흥분성에 대한 전침자극의 효과 (Effects of Electroacupuncture on the excitability in Medial Vestibular Nuclei of Rats)

  • Objectives : The vestibular system detects head movement and serve to regulate and maintain the equilibrium and orientation of the body. It is known that the vestibular imbalance leads to vestibular symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, vertigo and postural disturbance. The objectives of the present study were to examine a modification of the dynamic activities of medial vestibular nucleus (MVN) neurons following electroacupuncture (EA) of GB43 (Hyepgye). Methods : In Sprague-Dawley rats weighing $250{\sim}300g$, dynamic responses induced by sinusoidal whole body rotation about vertical axis at 0.2 Hz were observed in MVN of rats during EA of GB43 (Hyepgye) with 0.2 ms, 40 Hz and $600{\pm}200{\mu}A$. Also, expression of cFos protein was observed 2 hours after EA for 30 mins. Results : In dynamic response of vestibular neuron, the excitatory or inhibitory responses of gain were predominant in the ipsilateral MVN neurons during EA but not predominant in the contralateral MVN. Most neurons showing decreased gain were classified to inhibitory responses of spontaneous firing discharge during EA and ones showing increased gain were classified to excitatory response of spontaneous firing discharge during EA. Also, EA of the left GB43 (Hyepgye) for 30 mins produced the expression of cFos protein in MVN, inferior olive (IO) and solitary tract nuclei (SOL). Spatial expressions of cFos protein were predominant in the contralateral MVN, ipsilateral IO and bilateral SOL. Conclusion : These results suggest that the excitability of MVN neurons was influenced by EA of GB43 (Hyepgye) and EA may be related to the convergence on MVN.
