  • Thanks to the informatization of society, complex and high-tech devices are being introduced in all areas of human life, and the latest technologies are being actively improved in the modern, globalizing world. The article deals with the issues of using information and communication technologies in legal activities. It also covers the main types of such activities: law-making, law enforcement, and interpretive activity. Since there is an increase in the flow and accumulation of legal information, it is practically impossible to use traditional methods of working with legal information. The article considers and analyzes the role of information and communication technologies in modern legal activity. It is necessary to reveal the principles, concepts, conditions, and factors of their development and develop theoretical and practical recommendations for the use of such technologies in order to solve legal tasks. The authors of the article raise the issues of increasing the efficiency of legal activity, as well as the integration of information technologies into practical legal activity and their use for collecting, storing, searching, and issuing legal and reference information. Much attention is paid to the specific use of automated data banks and information retrieval systems in legal practice that ensure the accumulation, systematization, and effective search for legally important information. The development of such technologies leads to the creation of comfortable conditions for a lawyer in the course of their professional activity. Currently, legal activity cannot exist without telecommunication technologies, legal reference systems, and electronic programs. The authors believe that due to the use of the latest information technologies, the time for making legal decisions has significantly accelerated, the process of searching and systematizing evidence has been worked out, and it has become possible to quickly and efficiently find information on adopted laws and legal acts.

  • Today, ubiquitous technology (e.g. computers or networked devices pervade everywhere we are) has enlarged by great advancement of information and communication technologies. If ubiquitous technologies is applied to, innovation of spatial information technology is expected. traditional spatial information technologies such as survey, GIS, GPS, LBS, and RS and ubiquitous technology gradual1y have been converged. The aim of this study is to create shared visions in spatial information technologies by scenario based roadmapping. So, we surveyed the state of the art in main spatial information technologies, market status and patent map. Consequently, prospects of spatial information technologies is suggested. The aim of 1st and 2nd NGIS project focused on map supplier was to develop digital map(e.g. framework data, various thematic map). As a result, the best technology of digital mapping is achieved in the world. But, there is not enough to develop GIS and LBS solution. Current market in GIS S/W and Telematics is about 384billon won and 250billion won. a patent is applied in the order, like a USA(1571case, 47%), Japan(883case, 26%), EU(478case, 14%), Korea(446case, 13%). In the future, spatial information technology fused on ubiquitous technology will be focused on user's demand and developing convenience context. The developing target will be realtime monitoring of 3D spatial data based on high resolution coordinate system, sharing and supplying multi-sensor data considered users demand, location service by ubiquitous technologies.

  • The use of innovative technologies is one of the promising areas of education development, so the article clarifies the content of the terms "innovation" "pedagogical technology". Our goal is to justify the need to use innovative technologies in education. Innovative technologies are divided into four groups, depending on the appropriate form of educational activity for their use. The development of innovative pedagogical technologies at the present stage of education development should be carried out in accordance with the criteria of technological efficiency, which are presented in the article: scientific; systematic; guaranteed; manageable; mass. Based on the analysis of the process of formation of pedagogical education, the main trends in the information support of teachers in the system of pedagogical education were revealed. Its theoretical and methodological foundations were determined, promising directions and main ways of improving the information support of teachers' education as an organic component of continuous pedagogical education in Ukraine were justified. The conducted study of the state of information support for teachers allowed us to establish that the main functions of scientific and pedagogical information - analytical and predictive, integrative, operational and purposeful informing of various categories of specialists - teachers-are not being implemented enough. This is due to the versatility and complexity of the pedagogical process, the low level and limited range of development of systems of operational differentiated scientific and methodological services for various categories of teachers. Ways to improve the information function of teacher education are determined.

  • In this paper, we introduce indoor localization technologies categorizing them into ON/OFF switch and senor based, wireless communication based, and image based technologies. Then we describe several representative techniques for each of them, emphasizing their strengths and weaknesses. We define important performance issues for indoor localization technologies and analyze recent technologies according to the performance issues. Our analyses show that ON/OFF switch based technologies are difficult to install, but accurate and not limited by light. Wireless communication technologies are not limited by light nor distance (space) and do not need additional device. Image based technologies do not need additional device but are limited by light, and their accuracies are affected by light. We believe that this paper provide wise view and necessary information for recent indoor localization technologies.

  • The advancement of emerging technologies can create more national value, and this motivates many nations to invest their resources in the emerging technologies. However, due to limited financial and human resources, even a wealthy nation cannot afford to randomly invest its resource in all profitable technologies. Therefore, cautious appraisal and prioritization of the competitive technologies should be conducted first, and then concentrated investment should be done for only the selected technologies. In this study, we propose a quantitative criterion for prioritizing the targeted electronic device technologies. The prioritization scheme devised in this study consists of a growth layer, a profitability layer, a vitality layer, and an influence layer. The proposed model forecasts the most promising technologies by applying the revised version of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). We performed empirical experiments on 12 emerging electronic device technologies to analyze the practical applicability of our study. The experimental data was obtained from 70 experts in high-tech industry as a part of the 2004 Prioritization and Selection project that was carried out in South Korea. As a result, the proposed scheme was able to present the most promising areas for investment in the field of electronic device technology.
