The Effect of Psychological Well-Being on Life Satisfaction for Employees

  • Purpose - This study investigated small business members' cognition of happiness in accordance with changes of employment environment at the nation's industrialization. The study verified effects of labor workers' psychological wellbeing conditions upon life satisfaction as well as the effects of job burden and family burden of employment instability. Research design, data, and methodology - The subjects were small business workers in Seoul and Metropolitan areas. The author collected 150 copies of effective questionnaires. Regression analysis, hierarchical analysis and 3-stage mediation regression analysis were done. Results - The findings of this research was that psychological wellbeing factors alleviated job burden and family burden to increase satisfaction with life. Employment instability moderated between job burden and satisfaction with life, job burden between environmental control and satisfaction with life, and family burden between goal and satisfaction of life. Members needed sub factors of psychological wellbeing, especially reflection for self-acceptance. Conclusions - This study inspected effects of small business workers' psychological wellbeing upon life satisfaction at changes of management environment as well as labor environment to verify effects of job burden, family burden and employment instability and to find out conditions of human resources management from point of view of small business and workers.

소방대원의 소진(Burnout)에 관한 연구 (A Study on the burnout of firefighters)

  • The study was conducted to investigate the burnout of firefighters. The subjects were 223 firefighters in C-Do. The instruments used for this study were a survey of general characteristics(10 items), burnout(23 items). Analysis of data was done by use of mean percentage, t-test, ANOVA, stepwise multiple regression with SAS program. The results of this study are as follows; 1. Burnout according to general characteristics were showed significant difference in job-aptitude(F=6.30, P<.001), health status(F=5.92, P<.001), education(t=6.09, P<.01), working place rotation(t=2.59, P<.01), call number/week(F=3.28, P<.01), job-burden(F=4.45, P<.01), paper-job burden(F=3.87, P<.05). 2. Category score of burnout were showed the higher score in the lowed personal accomplishment(3.29). 3. Category score of burnout according to aptitude were showed difference each other. 4. Predicting factor of burnout were paper-job burden, health status, job-burden(20.99%).

중년기 여성의 어머니역할 수행부담과 심리적 복지 (The Mother-role Burden and Psychological well-being in Mid-life Women)

  • This study was to identify variables which were related with middle aged women's identification of child mother-role burden and psychological well-being and to investigate the relationships of mother-role burden and psychological well-being in mid-life. The research data were collected from 578 who were 40-59 year old women in Seoul. The major findings were as follow; (1) the level of middle age women's identification of child was very high and the level of mother-role burden was moderate. the level of psychological well-being was slightly high. (2) Mid-life women's psychological well-being was related to education level income and job. (3) Identification of child was related to educational level having job and income. And mother-role burden was influenced only by education level. (4) Middle aged women's identification of child was positively related mother-role burden. Mother-role burden was negatively related to psychological well-being in mid-life. These findings represented middle aged mother in our society had considerable burden of child but their psychological well-being was not low. Possibly it is due to the fact mothers regard their burden of child as acceptable duty.

COVID-19 상황에서 지역거점병원 간호사의 직무부담감, 직무스트레스 대처수준과 직무만족도와의 관계 (Relationship between Job Burden, Job Stress Coping Level and Job Satisfaction of Nurses at Local Hub Hospital in the COVID-19 Situation)

  • 본 연구는 COVID-19 상황에서 지역거점병원 간호사의 직무만족도에 영향 요인을 확인하고자 수행되었다. 자료는 H도의 4개 지역거점병원에 근무 중인 간호사 230명으로부터 설문지를 통하여 수집하였다. 수집한 자료는 SPSS/WIN 25.0 통계프로그램을 이용하여 t-test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation, Multiple Linear Regression으로 분석하였다. COVID-19 상황에서 지역거점병원 간호사의 직무만족도에 유의한 설명력을 갖는 요인은 자기효능(t=3.003, p=.003), G 지역거점병원(t=2.739, p=.007), 직무부담감(t=-4.291, p<.001)이었고, 이들 요인의 결정계수인 R2 은 .441로 44.1%의 설명력을 보여주었다. 결론적으로 COVID-19 상황에서 지역거점병원 간호사의 직무만족도를 높이기 위해서는 자기효능을 증진시키는 융합 프로그램의 개발과 직무부담감을 낮추는 정책적 지원이 필요하다.

의류디자인 근로자의 근골격계질환에 관한 연구 (A Study on Musculoskeletal Disorders of Workers in Clothing Design)

  • This study analyzed the effect of workers' socio-psychological burden factors on musculoskeletal disorders. A survey was conducted targeting office and field workers in the Seoul metropolitan area. Analysis was performed using the results of 357 surveys out of 400 surveys. The analysis results were derived as follows. First, the socio-psychological burden factor did not show statistically significant results for musculoskeletal disorders. Second, it was found that job stress factors also had a positive effect on musculoskeletal disorders. Third, social psychological burden factors were found to be more positive than office workers than field workers. Fourth, there was a statistically significant correlation between job stress and musculoskeletal disease risk scores. From the above results, job stress factors affect musculoskeletal disease risk factors (work frequency, pain level, and duration) and the increase in musculoskeletal disorders and the number of accidents.

요양병원 간호사의 직무만족도 영향요인: 치매 문제행동 간호에 대한 부담, 소진을 중심으로 (Factors Influencing Job Satisfaction of Nurses Working in Long-term Care Hospitals: Focused on Burnout and Burden for Caring Problematic Behaviors in Dementia)

  • 본 요양병원 간호사가 경험하는 치매 문제행동 간호에 대한 부담과 소진을 중심으로 직무만족도의 영향요인을 규명하기 위한 서술적 상관관계 연구로, 2014년 1월 27일부터 3월 31일까지 B광역시와 C시에 있는 요양병원 간호사 206명을 대상으로 치매 문제행동 간호에 대한 부담, 소진, 직무만족도에 관하여 구조화된 설문지로 자료를 수집하였고, SPSS WIN 18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 간호사가 경험하는 대상자의 치매 문제행동 경험빈도는 평균평점 $1.65{\pm}0.42$로 이는 한 달에 4~5번, 일주일에 1~2번 정도 경험하는 것을 의미한다. 치매 문제행동 간호에 대한 부담 정도는 평균평점 $1.46{\pm}0.48$으로 중간정도로 힘들고, 간호사 한 명의 도움으로 치매 문제행동이 해결되는 것을 의미한다. 소진 정도는 평균평점 $2.53{\pm}0.61$이며, 직무만족도 정도는 평균평점 $2.87{\pm}0.45$로 나타났다. 대상자의 치매 문제행동 간호에 대한 부담과 직무만족도의 정도는 역 상관관계를 보였고(r=-.256, p=.003), 소진과 직무만족도의 정도는 강한 역 상관관계로 나타났으며(r=-.718, p<.001), 소진이 직무만족도에 영향요인으로 57%의 설명력을 가졌다(${\beta}$=-.735). 연구 결과에 따라서 요양병원 간호사의 소진과 치매 문제행동 간호에 대한 부담을 감소시키고, 직무만족도를 높이기 위한 연구 및 중재 프로그램 개발이 지속적으로 수행되어야 할 것이다.

취업 여성의 미혼 성인자녀 돌봄 부담이 우울에 미치는 영향 : 부부의사소통과 일 만족도의 매개효과 (The Effect of Burden of Caring Unmarried Adult Children on Depression of Employed Women: Mediating Effects of Couple Communication and Job Satisfaction)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 취업 여성의 미혼 성인자녀 돌봄 부담감이 우울감에 미치는 영향과 그 과정에서 부부의사소통 및 일 만족도의 매개효과를 검증하는데 있다. 이를 위해 여성가족패널(KLoWF) 4차년도 자료를 기준으로 미혼 성인자녀와 베이비부머 남편을 둔 취업 기혼여성 586명을 표본으로 추출하여 구조방정식을 실행하였다. 연구결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 취업 여성의 미혼 성인자녀 돌봄에 대한 부담감은 우울감에 정(+)적인 영향을 미치며, 부부의사소통과 일 만족도에는 부(-)적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부부의사소통은 취업 기혼여성의 우울감에 부(-)적인 영향을 주고, 미혼 성인자녀 돌봄 부담감과 우울감 사이에 부분매개 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 취업 기혼여성의 일 만족도는 우울감에 부(-)적인 영향을 미치며, 미혼 성인자녀 돌봄 부담감과 우울감 사이에 부분적인 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구결과를 바탕으로 취업 여성의 우울감을 낮추고, 부부의사소통과 일 만족도를 고취시키기 위한 다양한 프로그램의 개발과 적용을 제시하였다.

장기요양서비스 전.후 가족의 수발 부담감에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Caregiver Burden in Caring for Elders Before and After Long-term Care Service in Korea)

  • Purpose: Purposes of this study were: evaluation of family burden of caring for elders who receive long term care services, and examination of differences in burden before and after the introduction of long term care service in Korea. Methods: Data were collected by questionnaires from 416 caregivers of elders who were registered with the Long Term Care Insurance Corporation in six cities. Data were collected in September, 2010 and analyzed using descriptive statistics, paired t-test, and ANOVA with the Scheffe test, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: Family burden decreased significantly after longterm care service was initiated. Subjective burden decreased from 2.93 to 2.69 (t=11.78, $p$<.001), and objective burden, from 3.40 to 3.10 (t=12.73, $p$<.001). Stepwise multiple regression analysis revealed that factors affecting subjective burden were family relations (F=13.60, $p$=.003), age (F=5.47, $p$=.019), job (F=6.98, $p$=.008), and education (F=4.59, $p$=.032), and that factors affecting objective burden were living together (F=17.66, $p$<.001), job (F=13.34, $p$=.003), monthly income (F=6.61, $p$=.010), and type of service (F=6.62, $p$=.010). Conclusion: The results of this first study to investigate caregiver burden after the Korean Long-term Care Insurance System was begun provide positive information for the development of strategies to decrease family burden in long term care.

고용형태에 따른 IT 종사자의 건강습관과 직무스트레스 (Health Habits and Job Stress among IT Workers According to Employment Type)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences and the influencing factors of health habits such as smoking, drinking, and exercise on job stress among IT workers. Methods: A questionnaire was distributed to total of 300 people (30 persons per business place) at 10 IT work sites performing computer and information system tasks, and 275 data points were analyzed. The survey items were general characteristics, occupational characteristics, employment type, physical burden, amount of drinking, smoking, exercise, and job stress. Results: The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, non-regular workers showed higher smoking, exercise, and job stress than did regular workers by employment type, but exercise was not significant. Regular workers had a higher rate of drinking than non-regular workers. Second, the factors affecting alcohol drinking were gender and age, and factors affecting smoking were gender and employment type. Third, factors affecting job stress were annual income, long working hours, physical burden, and employment type. Conclusions: It is necessary to consider employment patterns in smoking, drinking, and job stress management. In addition, it is necessary to deeply analyze what affects the health behaviors and job stress of IT workers and explore ways to mitigate them.

노인주간보호서비스 이용 부양자의 삶의 질과 영향요인 (Factors Influencing the Quality of Life of Caregiver using Day Care Service)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify factors influencing quality of life of caregivers using day care services. Methods: Data were collected from 14 different day care services in D city, with a total of 146 female caregivers as participants. All participants were at home caregivers whose patients were senior citizens older than 65. Data were collected from September 1 to 30 of 2008 and analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: Quality of life among caregivers of day care services differed significantly according to state of health, other caregivers, job, and family income. Quality of life among caregivers showed correlation with caregiving burden. The significant predictors affecting quality of life were state of health, other caregivers, job, and family income and caregiving burden. A combination of these predictors accounted for 43.5% of the variance in quality of life. Conclusion: These findings show that quality of life of family caregivers using day care services is influenced by caregiving burden. Development of day care service programs is necessary in order to reduce caregiving burden of family caregivers for the elderly.
