  • Ancient Iranians highly esteemed the horse and horse tacks, one of which is the jul (saddlecloth). It is a felt, sheepskin, or woven pad placed between the horse's back and saddle. The aim of this paper is to identify and categorize jul designs in the Sāsānian period. The research questions are about the variety of jul designs and how to categorize them. This is fundamental research and the method is descriptive and analytical. Neither a jul nor a saddle-cover remains from the Sāsānian period, therefore the statistical population includes all available items, such as metal and stone items and parget and plasterworks, in which juls are recognizable. Due to the scarcity of such items, all the available samples were studied; so the sampling method is a total enumeration. This is documentary research by means of note-taking and using reliable websites; the data has been analyzed qualitatively. The results show that jul designs were not diverse in the Sāsānian period. All-over designs were dominant. In terms of pattern types, these designs are classified into five groups, each of which has its own formal and aesthetic characteristics: all-over design with a four-petal flower pattern, allover design with a checkered pattern, all-over design with a spotted pattern, allover design with a tiger stripe pattern, and all-over design with a zigzag pattern.

  • This study analyzes the tendency for studies of children's manners in Korea. This research provides basic information for future research on the study of children's manners. I reviewed previous research during Mar.10~Apr. 30., 2009, and published articles that used terms such as 'ye-jul', 'yua ye-jul', 'jun-tong ye-jul', and 'yua-dare kyo yuk' as key-words provided by the National Assembly Library and Academic Information Center, and the terms were used for contents analysis. In the past, parents usually taught manners to their children at home, but now, most children learn etiquette at kindergarten and day care centers. A greater portion of the studies dealing with children's manners has been published since 2001. The experimental method was used for most of this research. Based on the results, I have made suggestion regarding the direction of future studies of children's manners. Research should investigate the value of children's manners and philosophy in future research. Based on the personal characteristics of each child and their understanding of the ecological environment, studies of children's manners require an interdisciplinary research approach or ecological research approach. These studies should continue to research in cooperation with kindergartens and day care centers. In addition, further research should focus on an effective teaching method or instructional media research of children's manners.

  • In the case of being contaminated with pathogenic Vibrio, shellfish pose a serious threat for public health. This study was conducted to investigate the presence of Vibrio parahaemolyticus and V. vulnificus in the seawater, bottom deposit and shellfish samples collected from the Gomso Bay, west coast of Korea. V. parahaemolyticus (30-80 CFU/g) was detected from seawater Jul. to Oct. and highest at Sep. V. parahaemolyticus was detected less than 10 CFU/g from seawater at Nov. with $14.6^{\circ}C$ of seawater temperature. V. parahaemolyticus (180-1,850 CFU/g) was detected more than 100 CFU/g from 3 kinds of shellfish, Short-necked clam Ruditapes philippinarum, Corb shell Cyclina sinensis, and Surf clam Mactra veneriformis, Jul. to Oct. and was highest in Surf clam at Oct. V. parahaemolyticus was detected less than 20 CFU/g from all tested shellfish at Nov. V. vulnificus (1.8-2.7 MPN/100 mL) was detected from seawater Jul. to Oct. and was not detected at Nov. V. vulnificus (18-236.7 MPN/100 g) was also detected from 3 kinds of shellfish Jul. to Oct. and was highest in Corb shell at Jul. V. vulnificus was not detected from all tested shellfish at Nov.

  • This study is a content analysis of housing management as shown in the Sa-so-jul. This book is written by Lee, Duk Moo in 1741 during Chosun dynasty. This contents relates to life management. The contents of housing management were storage cleaning and equipment management. The major findings this study are as follows. 1) Housing management was charged with woman. 2) Contents of housing managements were storage cleaning and equipment management. 3) It goes into detial. 4) Housing management relates to clothing & food management. 5) In the traditional society woman have to upright in her actions which is housing management. But today things are not what they used to be. A woman does not think anymore to do work housekeeping. But an idea of life does not change. So it is following as shown in the Sa-so-jul. 1) We must to clean for housing management. 2) Housing management is for my family and our neighborhood.

  • East Asian noodles developed after the changes of the times. And nowadays, East Asian noodles were existed traditionally : La-myun which was native to China, So-myun which was native to Japan, Apchul-myun which was native to Korea, Jul-myun which generally known in the East Asian and Mibun and Habun which were native to the southern part of China. To examine the geographical distribution of noodles, Apchul-myun is prevalent in the plateau of dry field farming area where grow much buckwheat and Jul-myun is prevalent in the south of rice farming area.

  • It takes quite amount of time to study a board game because there are many game characters and different stages are exist for board games. Also, the opponent is not just a single character that means it is not one on one game, but group vs. group. That is why strategy is needed, and therefore applying optimum learning is a must. If there were equal result that both are considered to be best ones during the course of learning stage, Heuristic which utilizes learning of problem area of Jul-Gonu was used to improve the speed of learning. To compare a normal character to an improved one, a jul-gonu game was created, and then they fought against each other. Improved character considered distance and attacked other one. As a result, improved character's ability was improved on learning speed.

  • [ ${\beta}-Glucan$ ], one of the cell wall components, is most plentiful polysaccharides in cell wall and has several advantages in immune system. In yeast ${\beta}-glucan$ is mainly contained in the yeast cell wall, and thus it is important to produce high levels of cell mass for the mass production of yeast ${\beta}-glucan$. The best carbon and nitrogen sources on cell mass production were high fructose syrup and yeast extract. Response surface methodology (RSM) was very potential tool for the optimization of process factor and medium component. It was applied to estimate the effects of medium components on the production of cell mass. Optimal concentrations of high fructose syrup and yeast extract by response surface methodology were 8.0% (v/v) and 5.2% (w/v), respectively and the cell mass predicted was $17.0\;g/{\ell}$ at 20 h of cultivation.
