  • We study the Fourier transformation on the Gelfand-Bruhat space of type S and characterize this space by means of Fourier transform on a locally compact abelian group G. Also, we extend Bochner-Schwartz theorem to the dual space of the Gelfand-Bruhat space and the space of Fourier hyperfunctions on G. respectively.

  • Let $G$ be a metrizable, ${\sigma}$-compact locally compact abelian group with a compact open subgroup. In this paper we define the Gramian and the dual Gramian operators for shift invariant subspaces of $L^2(G)$ and we use them to characterize shift generated dual frames for shift in- variant spaces, which forms a frame for a subspace of $L^2(G)$. We present necessary and sufficient conditions for which standard dual is a unique SG-dual frame of type I and type II.

  • We introduce ${\varphi}$-frames in $L^2$(G), as a generalization of a-frames defined in [8], where G is a locally compact Abelian group and ${\varphi}$ is a topological automorphism on G. We give a characterization of ${\varphi}$-frames with regard to usual frames in $L^2$(G) and show that ${\varphi}$-frames share several useful properties with frames. We define the associated ${\varphi}$-analysis and ${\varphi}$-preframe operators, with which we obtain criteria for a sequence to be a ${\varphi}$-frame or a ${\varphi}$-Bessel sequence. We also define ${\varphi}$-Riesz bases in $L^2$(G) and establish equivalent conditions for a sequence in $L^2$(G) to be a ${\varphi}$-Riesz basis.

  • For a locally compact Abelian group G, and a commutative Banach algebra B, let $L^1$(G, B) be the Banach algebra of all Bochner integrable functions. We show that if G is noncompact and B is a semiprime Banach algebras in which every minimal prime ideal is cnotained in a regular maximal ideal, then $L^1$(G, B) contains no nontrivial separating idal. As a consequence we deduce some automatic continuity results for $L^1$(G, B).

  • This paper presents a systematic study for theoretical aspects of a unified approach to the abstract relative Fourier transforms over canonical homogeneous spaces of semi-direct product groups with Abelian normal factor. Let H be a locally compact group, K be a locally compact Abelian (LCA) group, and ${\theta}:H{\rightarrow}Aut(K)$ be a continuous homomorphism. Let $G_{\theta}=H{\ltimes}_{\theta}K$ be the semi-direct product of H and K with respect to ${\theta}$ and $G_{\theta}/H$ be the canonical homogeneous space (left coset space) of $G_{\theta}$. We introduce the notions of relative dual homogeneous space and also abstract relative Fourier transform over $G_{\theta}/H$. Then we study theoretical properties of this approach.

  • Let G be a non-discrete locally compact abelian group, and 𝜇 be a transformable and translation bounded Radon measure on G. In this paper, we construct a Segal algebra S𝜇(G) in L1(G) such that the generalized Poisson summation formula for 𝜇 holds for all f ∈ S𝜇(G), for all x ∈ G. For the definitions of transformable and translation bounded Radon measures and the generalized Poisson summation formula, we refer to L. Argabright and J. Gil de Lamadrid's monograph in 1974.

  • We investigate biprojectivity of $C_{r}^{*}(G)$ as a $L^1(G)$-bimodule for a locally compact group G. The main results are the following. As a $L^1(G)$-bimodule$C_{r}^{*}(G)$ is biprojective if G is compact and is not biprojective if G is an infinite discrete group or G is a non-compact abelian group.

  • We discuss the qualitative uncertainty principle for Gabor transform on certain classes of the locally compact groups, like abelian groups, ${\mathbb{R}}^n{\times}K$, K ⋉ ${\mathbb{R}}^n$ where K is compact group. We shall also prove a weaker version of qualitative uncertainty principle for Gabor transform in case of compact groups.

  • Let $K_{\alpha}(G)$ (resp. $K_s(G)$) be the abelian (resp. symmetric) Kac algebra for a locally compact group G. We show that there exists a one-to-one correspondence between the subgroups of G and the sub-Kac algebras of $K_{\alpha}(G)$ (resp. $K_s(G)$). Moreover we obtain similar correspondences between the subgroups of G and the reduced Kac algebras of $K_{\alpha}(G)$ (resp. $K_s(G)$).
