The purpose of this study was to identify the perception of nurse experts on the contribution of nursing interventions to Nursing Outcomes Classification NOC nursing outcomes. A nursing outcome is a nursing-sensitive patient outcome primarily affected by nursing interventions. As one of the standardized language systems of nursing outcomes, the NOC must be examined for applicability before it is used in Korea. Data were collected in February and March 2003 using a 5-point Likert scale. For data collection, 230 quality improvement (QI) or quality assurance (QA) nurses from general hospitals in Korea were asked to rate the extent that nursing interventions contribute to each of the NOC nursing outcomes (2000) in their hospitals. Ninety-six nurses from 63 hospitals responded and the response rate was $41.7\%$. Mean scores for perception of contribution of nursing interventions to each of the NOC nursing outcomes ranged from 2.18 to 4.54. Vital Signs Status had the highest score (M = 4.54), and Abuse Recovery: Financial, the lowest score (M = 2.18). Of the seven NOC domains, the mean score was highest for Physiologic Health (M = 3.91) and lowest for Community Health (M = 2.92). Of the 29 NOC classes, the mean score for perceived contribution was highest for Metabolic Regulation (M = 4.32) and lowest for Community Well-Being (M = 2.92). Participants perceived that nursing interventions in general hospitals in Korea contributed, at least to a certain extent, to most of the NOC nursing outcomes. Based on these results, NOC should have relatively good applicability in Korea.

Multiprocessor system on chip (MPSoC) platforms has set a new innovative trend for the SoC design. Quality of service parameters and performance matrix are leading to the adoption of new design methodology for SoC, which will incorporate highly scalable, reusable, predictable, cost and energy efficient platform not only for underlying communication backbone but also for the entire system architecture of NOC. Like the layered architecture for the communication backbone of NOC, we have proposed the entire system architecture for NOC to be a seven layered architecture in itself. Such a platform can separate the domain specific issues which will model concurrency along with the synchronization issues more effectively. For such a layered architecture, model of computation will provide a framework to that can model concurrency and synchronization issues which are natural for any application. Therefore it becomes extremely important to use a right computation model in a specific NOC region.

In this study Cyclomatic Complexity of Web Software has been analyzed quantitatively by correlation between complexity and Number of Classes(NOC), and Number of Methods(NOM) which are object oriented programming measures. Based on the frequency distribution of complexity, NOC and NOM of software at the Web environment, correlation between complexity threshold and NOC threshold, and NOM threshold has been measured and more than 4,000 ASP files of 10 Web real projects have been used as the sample. The empirical result shows that NOC threshold is 21, NOM threshold is 40 and complexity threshold is 68 as high value, and 8 projects among of 10 except 2 projects with especially high frequency distribution shows that NOC threshold is 12, NOM threshold is 21 and complexity threshold is 52 with relatively low value, so correlation has been found out as exists. And also 8 projects with low threshold of complexity, NOC and NOM were internal management software, and the other 2 projects were external sales service software, Number of Classes and Number of Methods can be defined at the design stage according to business properties, and also the complexity can be estimated in order to improve the software quality.

Grid makes it possible to cooperate with other network area by sharing and using distributed resources. In order to manage effectively large-scale Grid network resources, Grid NOC needs monitoring architecture that can manage distributed resources in one time. Being restricted within specific managing area, conventional network management system has limitation in extension of managing area and in general management of heterogeneous resource. In this paper, we design a monitoring architecture that can take in the situation and has scalability. In the monitoring architecture the network areas publish information in a common directory service, and then Grid NOC can connect to the network areas directly by using this information. Therefore, it makes us possible to manage overall large-scale resource of Grid network reducing load.

Purpose: The purpose of study was to determine differences in patient outcomes that exists in terms of Nursing Outcomes Classification (NOC) during hospital days of neurosurgical and respiratory patients. Method: Before starting clinical practicum, nursing students were received two hours' lecture on how to apply NOC to patient care plan and they were required to evaluate patient condition using NOC at the beginning and at the end of their clinical practicum. Data were extracted from 62 neurosurgical patients and 66 respiratory patients and analyzed by frequency and paired t-test. Results: The most frequently used NOC were Pain Level (37.1%), Mobility Level (25.8%), and Bowel Elimination (19.4%) in neurosurgical patients and Nutritional Status (37. 9%), Respiratory Status: Ventilation (37.9%) and Pain Level (25.8%) in respiratory patients. The numbers of outcomes used were 75 and 46 neurosurgical and respiratory patients respectively. During the hospital days, the level of patient outcomes increased significantly in all patient groups. Conclusion: The finding clearly suggests that nursing interventions make differences in patient outcomes and make contribution to the patient health achieved. To more effectively use NOC, however, nursing information system should be developed and included standardized nursing languages regarding nursing diagnoses and interventions.
High oil prices and high demand supporting IOC move to frontier and NOC evolution. Most frontier area reserves are in NOC territory. IOCs need to be able to manage relationships with NOCs in order to be successful. They need to tune into what NOC priorities are. NOCs have different priorities depending on whether they are resource rich or resource poor. IOCs need to recognize $NOCs^{\circ}{\emptyset}$ priorities and differentiate themselves by using them when talking to NOCs.

This study is a comparative analysis of R&D performance and research collaboration relationship among ten ocean research institutes in the Republic of Korea and foreign nations through analyzing SCI publications from 2008 to 2012. The result indicated that SIO, WHOI, and NOC had the highest number of publications, while research institutes in East Asian nations including NFRDI, KIOST, IOCAS, and JAMSTEC had the notable growth in publication. In terms of number of publication per researcher, SIO, WHOI, and NOC had relatively high number. In terms of publication per research budget (1 billion KRW), number of publication was high in the order of IOCAS, NOC, GEOMAR, SIO. The number of Citations Per Publications (CPP) was high among WHOI, SIO, NOC, GEOMAR, JAMSTEC, and IFREMER, which are North American, European and Japanese institutes. The average Impact Factor (IF) of journal submission per publication for IFREMER, KIOST and JAMSTEC was relatively increasing, while the number was fluctuating in other institutes. The analysis of research collaboration among institutes around the globe showed that the collaboration in Asia was relatively closed, whereas it was more open in Europe. In the case of Europe and Asia, higher number of research collaboration among nations also increased the quality of submitted articles.

Generally, since memory chips should be tested all, considering its volume, the reduction in test time for detecting faults plays an important role in reducing the overall production cost. The parallel testing of chips in one ATE is a competitive solution to solve it. In this paper, NOC is proposed as test interface architecture between DUTs and ATE. Because NOC can be extended freely, there is no limit on the number of DUTs tested at the same time. Thus, more memory can be tested with the same bandwidth of ATE. Furthermore, the proposed NOC-based parallel test method can increase the efficiency of channel usage by packet type data transmission.
