Implementation of an Open Artificial Intelligence Platform Based on Web and Tensorflow

  • In this paper, we propose a web-based open artificial intelligence (AI) platform which provides high convenience in input data pre-processing, artificial neural network training, and the configuration of subsequent operations according to inference results. The proposed platform has the advantages of the GUI-based environment which can be easily utilized by a user without complex installation. It consists of a web server implemented with the JavaScript Node.js library and a client running the tensorflow.js library. Using the platform, many users can simultaneously create, modify and run their projects to apply AI functionality into various smart services through an open web interface. With our implementation, we show the operability of the proposed platform. By loading a web page from the server, the client can perform GUI-based operations and display the results performed by three modules: the Input Module, the Learning Module and the Output Module. We also implement two application systems using our platform, called smart cashier and smart door, which demonstrate the platform's practicality.

  • VWorld is run by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport of South Korea and provides national spatial information, such as aerial images, digital elevation models, and 3D structural models. We propose herein an open platform for 3D spatial information based on WebGL using spatial information from VWorld. WebGL is a web-based graphics library and has the advantage of being compatible with various web browsers. Our open platform is also compatible with various web browsers. Accordingly, it is easily accessible via the VWorld site and uses the three-dimensional (3D) map program. In this study, we describe the proposed platform configuration, and the requests, management, and visualization approaches for VWorld spatial information data. Our aim is to establish an approach that will provide a stable rendering speed even on a low-end personal computer without a graphics processing unit based on a quadtree structure. We expect that users will be able to visualize 3D spatial information through the VWorld open platform, and that the proposed platform will become the basis for various applications.

  • In this paper, we design and implement the architecture of the ubiquitous software robot platform (Sobot platform) based on Web 2.0. In order to provide a user with the personalized emotional service by transferring to any device without any time or geographical limitations, the software robot must be developed as a form of a platform based on the standardized data and structures. To verify the effectiveness and the feasibility of the proposed Sobot platform consisting of the terminal platform, the server platform, and the contents composer, we compose user-created emotional Sobot contents messages on heterogeneous platforms such as PC, a mobile phone, a PDA, and a web portal site and experiment a variety of Sobot transfer implementation between them.

  • The purpose of this study was to find the wage determinants of web-based platform workers. For this purpose, a total of 3,575 web-based platform workers' information from Freelancer.com, a global platform labor market, in September 2018 were used and whether or not newly available indicators such as evaluations by previous employers had a significant effect on the wage increase of platform workers using OLS and QR methods. As an OLS estimation results, the number of reviews, as well as education and experience, affects the wages of platform workers. However, as a result of the QR estimation, experience rather than education, recommendation rather than a review has a more significant effect on the wage of web-based platform workers as the wage level rises.

  • Internet protocol television (IPTV), one of the most emerging services, offers multimedia streaming services with security, reliability, and relevant quality of service (QoS)/quality of experience (QoE). It provides added values to all the involving players and also brings technical and business challenges to them. For IPTV services, we expect to adopt the next generation network (NGN) environment for high quality and the Web technologies for personalization to meet the customer's necessity. Web can provide an open, flexible, and agile platform. Therefore, in this paper, we propose personalized IPTV services based on Web-based open platform in NGN environment and present functional architecture for Web-based personalized IPTV services. Technical issues for deploying the proposed IPTV services using Web are also provided. The objective of this paper is to analyze the critical architectural issues for developing viable and feasible networking platform models for personalized IPTV services.

  • The new paradigm called the web 2.0 recently appeared in the web environment. We pay attention to the positive effects which may be brought about by application of the web 2.0 to e-learning; we think that it can improve problem solving skills of learners and reinforce their creativity. But until now, e-learning model, which understood the web 2.0 concept completely, has been never developed. In this context, we propose the web 2.0-based e-learning platform which induces all the courses for education such as the selection of topic, preparation of lecture schedule and contents, teaching and learning, to be decided by participants. We believe that this platform can replace or supplement the e-learning of web 1.0 age, and realize the positive effects.

  • A web-based platform for structural analysis has been developed. The proposed web-based platform is a 2-tier system composed o( client and server sides to reduce the overburden on the server side. Smart Client is applied for the client side to improve the handling speed and UI. For the server side, MSSQL is applied to deal with database and used as a storage for the web. XML WebService is adpoted for the networking between the client and the server. To examine the efficiency of the developed web-based platform a sample study is carried out with a nonlinear earthquake analysis on a SDOF system.

  • A web-based platform for nonlinear earthquake analysis on SDOF systems has been developed in the research. The proposed web-based platform is a 2-tier system composed of client and server sides. Smart Client is applied for the client side to improve the handling speed and UI compatible to the stand alone systems. For the server side, MSSQL is used as a storage for the web. XML WebService is adpoted for the networking between client and server. To examine the efficiency of the developed web-based platform, a trial study on a SDOF nonlinear structural system under earthquake excitation has been carried out.

  • In this paper, we present the wet-based monitoring system for industrial controller such as inverter controller for hydraulic elevators. The monitoring system is using an embedded web server on embedded Linux platform. The control board of system-On-Chip (SoC) is based on ARM7TDMI with Ethernet controller. Wet-based monitoring system using embedded Linux platform can reduce the cost, and have flexibility both of technical issues and locations If the system to be monitored. The system shows the feasibility of remote monitoring system based on embedded Linux platform.
