  • We prove the maximum principle and the comparison principle of $p$-harmonic functions via $p$-harmonic boundary of graphs. By applying the comparison principle, we also prove the solvability of the boundary value problem of $p$-harmonic functions via $p$-harmonic boundary of graphs.

  • In this paper we establish some new explicit solutions for impulsive linear fractional differential equations with impulses at fixed times, which provides a handy tool in deriving singular integral-sum inequalities and an impulsive fractional comparison principle. Thus we study the Mittag-Leffler stability of impulsive differential equations with the Caputo fractional derivative by using the impulsive fractional comparison principle and piecewise continuous functions of Lyapunov's method. Also, we give some examples to illustrate our results.

  • This paper describes a design of simple and precision direction finder that can be adapted to shipboard or mobile vehicles used for Electronic support measure, ELINT and radio signal monitoring systems. The direction finding technology has improved with monolithic integrated circuit, linear array antennas, and interferometer. Interferometer uses the phase-comparison principle and has a good direction finding accuracy but it has an ambiguity problem. We suggest a simple ambiguity solver using phase-comparison technology with amplitude-comparison principle. The direction finding device that has been designed by the suggested method has 0.7 degree RMS error in azimuth angle and 0.6 degree RMS error in elevation angle in 0.5 - 2.0 GHz.

  • Dynamic analysis of a shear deformable shell is investigated with accounting thickness stretching using Hamilton's principle. Through this method, the total transverse is composed into bending, shearing and stretching portions, in which the third part is responsible for deformation along the transverse direction. After computation of the strain, kinetic and external energies, the governing motion equations are derived using Hamilton's principle. A comparative study is presented before presentation of full numerical results for confirmation of the formulation and methodology. The results are presented with and without thickness stretching to show importance of the proposed theory in comparison with previous theories without thickness stretching.

  • A better selection model on management innovative enterprises is needed since the Korean government provides multi benefits to those selected enterprises. However, the selection model's propriety is suspicious because of the shortage of consideration of assessment items. In particular, the most important two assessment items, strategy and performance are suspected of multicollinearity because of high correlation scores. No consideration on multicollinearity among those items leads to erroneous selection which doubly counts the same components with different item names. The principle component analysis is applied to factor out the uncorrelated items. Using the resulted principle components, the new estimations are carried out. The comparison between estimated results from using principle components and non principle components shows that the present selection model overly considers the performance items compared to the real effect of items, which is a result of multicollinearity between performance and strategy.

  • This paper shows the procedure to decide an optimal design principle for improving the disassemblability with considering of disassembly conditions. On the bssis of the disassembly mechanism of products and the structure of parts and subassembly, the disassemblability is classified into four categories: graspability, accessibility, transmission of disassembly power and handling. The weighting values of the influential factors are calculated by the method of AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process). The disassemblability is evaluated quantitatively. We established some score tables for the evaluation. Using these score tables, several principles for higher disassemblability in accordance with work conditions can be decided. An optimal design principle can be found by the comparison with the total scores of some disassembly conditions.

  • There are two methods for evaluating two or more mutually exclusive projects. One is a total investment approach and the other is an incremental investment approach. The former can rank projects by the criterion of the net present value, but the latter can't do it. An incremental investment approach is only possible when all pairwise alternatives are compared. Thus an incremental investment approach is superior in ranking them over an incremental investment approach. To do so, a principle of comparison must be established. Comparisons of profitability are reasonable when operating the same amount of investment over the same period of time. One principle is that all projects are invested in the largest of the projects. Another principle is that all projects are invested during the longest project life of the projects. In this paper, even if the principle is followed, it will be shown that the external rate of return fails to rank them. However, the productive rate of return criterion would prove to be able to rank them like the net present value standard, provided that the principle of comparison is kept. In addition, rate of returns can be assessed so that all mutually exclusive projects can be compared at once, such as on the criterion of the net present value. That is, it can be also compared with many other returns, such as the profit rates on financial investments or real investments.

  • We describe the asymptotic behavior of functions of the Royden p-algebra in terms of p-extremal length. We also prove that each bounded $\cal{A}$-harmonic function with finite energy on a complete Riemannian manifold is uniquely determined by the behavior of the function along p-almost every curve.
