  • We deal with the classification problem of real hypersurfaces in a complex hyperbolic space. In order to classify real hypersurfaces in a complex hyperbolic space we characterize a real hypersurface M in $H_n(\mathbb{C})$ whose structure vector field is not principal. We also construct extrinsically homogeneous real hypersurfaces with four distinct curvatures and their structure vector fields are not principal.

  • In the previous paper [6], the author constructed hyperbolic hypersurfaces of degree $2^{n}$ in the n-dimensional complex projective space for every $n\;\geq\;3$. The purpose of this paper is to give some improvement of this result and to show some general methods of constructions of hyperbolic hypersurfaces of higher degree, which enable us to construct hyperbolic hypersurfaces of degree d in the n-dimensional complex projective space for every $d\;\geq\;2\;{\times}\;6^{n}$.

  • We first introduce a complex hyperbolic space and a complex hyperbolic manifold. After defining the canonical horoball and the canonical cusp on the complex hyperbolic manifold, we estimate the volumes of canonical cusps of complex hyperbolic manifolds. Finally, we deal with cusped, complex hyperbolic 2-manifolds, and in particular, the ones with only one cusp.

  • On compact complex hyperbolic manifolds of complex dimension two, we show that the dimension of the space of infinitesimal deformations of self-dual conformal structures is smaller than that of the deformation obstruction space and that every self-dual metric with covariantly constant Ricci tensor must be a standard one upto rescalings and diffeomorphisms.

  • A complex n-dimensional Kaehlerian manifold of constant holomorphic sectional curvature c is called a comples space form, which is denoted by $M_n(c)$. A complete and simply connected complex space form consists of a complex projective space $P_nC$, a complex Euclidean space $C^n$ or a complex hyperbolic space $H_nC$, according as c > 0, c = 0 or c < 0. The induced almost contact metric structure of a real hypersurface M of $M_n(c)$ is denoted by $(\phi, \zeta, \eta, g)$.

  • An n-dimensional complex space form $M_n(c)$ is a Kaehlerian manifold of constant holomorphic sectional curvature c. As is well known, complete and simply connected complex space forms are a complex projective space $P_n C$, a complex Euclidean space $C_n$ or a complex hyperbolic space $H_n C$ according as c > 0, c = 0 or c < 0.

  • We want to treat this problem for real hypersurfaces in a complex hyperbolic space $J_n(C)$. Thus it seems to be natural to consider some problems concerned with the estimation of the Ricci tensor for real hypersurfaces in $H_n(C)$. In this paper we will find a new tensorial formula concerned with the Ricci tensor and give it a characterization of horospheres and geodesic hyperspheres in a complex hyperbolic space $H_n(C)$.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study real hypersurfaces immersed in a complex hyperbolic space $CH^n$ and especially to investigate certain curvature conditions for such real hypersurfaces to be the model hypersurfaces in classification theorem (said to be Theorem M-R) given by Montiel and Romero ([4]) in Section 3.

  • We study totally real and complex subsets of a right quarternionic vector space of dimension n + 1 with a Hermitian form of signature (n, 1) and extend these notions to right quaternionic projective space. Then we give a necessary and sufficient condition for a subset of a right quaternionic projective space to be totally real or complex in terms of the quaternionic Hermitian triple product. As an application, we show that the limit set of a non-elementary quaternionic Kleinian group 𝚪 is totally real (resp. commutative) with respect to the quaternionic Hermitian triple product if and only if 𝚪 leaves a real (resp. complex) hyperbolic subspace invariant.
