Objectives Sasang Constitutional Medicine(SCM) is uniquely established in the field of Korean Medicine. Taegeuk Acupuncture(TGA) and Eight Constitution Acupuncture(ECA) which are created upon SCM are applied in clinics. However, there exists no established theory but hypothesis with regard to the composition of acupoints of constitution acupuncture. The purpose of this study was to help establish the Sasang constitution acupuncture(SCA) method. Methods Thirties studies were found on various Oriental medicine journals and 17 literatures with the key words relevant to constitution and acupuncture. Results For the principle of acupoint selection, 12 studies were included which were classified into TGA, ECA, SCA, other constitution acupuncture. Among 17 literatures, most of them were relevant to SCA. For the clinical studies, eight of total 13 using ECA were for musculoskeletal diseases. Conclusions Among studies and literatures chosen, the application of Saam's acupuncture method was most frequently found in SCA method. For establishing the SCA method, the two main concepts need to be considered, which are the consideration of four areas namely Lungs, Spleen, Liver and Kidneys and upward-downward-loosening-tightening movement of the Qi according to Sasang constitution type.

Since recent development of questionnaire for Sasang constitution, many researches have followed it to verify statistical significancy. However, a few problems about validity of some questionnaires were discovered later on due to the lack of researches about it. Firstly, some questionnaires have different meaning from that of the original Dongyi Suse Bowon. Secondly, belief on statistical significancy sometimes misleads the questions for a certain Sasang constitution to be used for a different Sasang constitution. Thirdly, profound concepts of original Dongyi Suse Bowon are sometimes abandoned or ignored in the excuse of low statistical significancy. Fourthly, it is still difficult to identify Sasang constitution of Taeyangin due to lack of population, sample, and questions. The purpose of this thesis is to minimize the problems related with interpretation and fitness of the questionnaires. The author developed a questionnaire of 48 questions and surveyed with it over 200 patients who visited Jeon-ju Woosuk hospital. This research resulted in a bit of resolution of the problems through statistical comparison between the survey and clinical analysis.

In order to provide the methodology of researching constitutional theories, the original meaning and the source of the term, ti(體) and zhi(質) written in and other text were reviewed, and then components of constitution(體質) and some evaluative norms and prospect on constitutional theories were proposed. Ti(體) means body or 5 tissues or patterns of them and zhi(質) means quality in , so the temporary meaning of constitution was generally same with present one. But the temperament originated from Greek and Elizabethan era is thought that it corresponds with constitution, but it means generally body type and character and mental pathologic features. The fundamental requirements of constitutional theories are needed stability, creativity, clinical efficiency and reproductiveness for differentiating with classical diagnostics over the range of disease and aging of the subject. And heredity, universality and extensiveness were recommended as additional requirements for making level up the theories through long-term follow-up, and to evaluate these requirements detail items were proposed. More of these, weight rendering should be made respectively afterwards.

Objectives: In this study, we examine whether Sasang constitutions include all 8 attitude-function types, forming a complete paradigm from the perspective of Jungian psychological type theory. Methods: Analysis of the meanings of psychological attitudes and function of each Sasang constitution was performed, comparing them with the typological theories of C.G.Jung and John Beebe, both of whom are eminent minds in Jungian typology. Results and Conclusions: (1) Each Sasang constitution had all 8 psychological attitude-function combinations, which are diversely differentiated by type within their conscious and unconscious psyches. This is likely because attitudes and functions that develop in the conscious mind build up compensating attitudes and functions in the unconscious. (2) It seems that extroversion and introversion coexist within every Sasang constitution as psychological descriptions reported by Lee, Je ma state. The superior and inferior functions are disposed in the order of organ size in Sasang constitutions, but dominance of extroversion or introversion as defined by Jung's concepts of attitude does not seem to be determined by constitution.

This paper aims to study Thai democratic deepening and the constitutional engineering with the analytical concepts of 'power sharing' and 'accountability' focusing on the 1997 and 2007 Constitution. With regard to power sharing, the 1997 Constitution had the characteristics of majoritarian principle including a two-party system, strengthening of prime minister and the executive's power etc. It enhanced significantly the aspects of accountability compared with the previous constitutions. The institutions such as Constitutional Court, Commission on Election, Administration Court, Commission on Human Right, Ombudsman, Commission on Anti-corruption, and the Measure for Anti-money Laundering were established by the 1997 Constitution. However, such empowered accountability system were often abused by the political power groups in the political process. The 2007 Constitution has the characteristics of consensual principle including a multiparty system, proportional representation system, weakened prime minister's power, balancing of cabinet and parliament's power, pushing ahead with decentralization. However, the consensual principle of the 2007 Constitution came, in part, from the factional interests. It is similar to the 1997 Constitution in terms of accountability system, which enhanced in law but abused often in practice. One of the critical reasons for the failure of the 1997 and 2007 constitutions to consolidate democratic system was the political game played around the so-called network for the monarchy composed by the military, the civilian bureaucracy, Constitutional Court and the privileged classes. The future of the Thai democratic deepening depends on the constitutional engineering in which the factional interests should be excluded, and the rules of power sharing and accountability which traditionally played around the network for the monarchy should be effectively institutionalized.

The purpose of this investigation is to seek the concepts of the Nature and the Emotion in the Sasang Constitutional Medicine. The results summerized as following. 1. When feelings like joy, anger, sorrow and happiness are kept in heart this state is the Nature. When they are expressed this state is the Emotion. In this point Confucianism and the Sasang Constitutional Medicine are same each other. 2. The Nature and Emotion of Confucianism are the psychic concepts. But the Nature and Emotion of the Sasang Constitutional Medicine are the psychosomatic concepts. 3. QI(氣) of joy, anger, sorrow and happiness, each of them share with qi(氣) of the Nature and Emotion. Qi(氣) of the Nature and Emotion directly influence the formation of Sasang Constitution, physiological and pathological state. As mentioned above, though the Nature and Emotion of the Sasang Constitutional Medicine come from Confucianism they are used the more opened conception.

Purpose: This study was a descriptive research to investigate the health behavior, health status and self-efficacy according to the concepts of Sasangin. Method: Participants in this study were 214 nurses in hospitals in Seoul, Kyunggi and B city. Data were collected using interview with questionnaires from Oct.2 to Nov.30, 2003. The measurement tools were the QSCC II by Kim et al., Health Behavior by Kim, CMI by Nam and self-efficacy by Sherer, all of which have resported reliability. For the purpose of the study, the collected data were analyzed by Frequency, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficients. Results: 1) There was a significant difference in health behavior according to constitution (F=1 273, p=.020). 2) There was a negative correlation between health behavior and health status for Taeumin (r=-.376, p=.002). There was also a negative correlation between health status and self-efficacy for Taeumin (r=-.271, p=.029). Conclusion: The results of this study showed that there were significant differences in health behavior, health status and self-efficacy for the participants according to the constitution of each nurse. So, based on these results, determining and fully understanding the client's constitution are important as these are the foundations of Eum-Yang and personal characteristics. Therefore, we have to consider the constitution when we provide nursing care. However, this study did not show a correlation between health behavior, health status and self efficacy for Soyangin and Soeumin. Further research is needed to determine if there is a relation between these variables according to various constitutions.

Sasang Constitutional Medicine, which argues that physiology, pathology, diagnosis, medical cure depend on individual's constitution, is different from a previous traditional oriental medicine. Recently the idea of fitted medicine, made by concepts based on genome project, is similar to constitution of Sasang Constitutional Medine in that both of them take the individual difference Into consideration. Sasang Constitutional Medicine is able to contribute to explanation of function of genes, because the same food acts differently on individual's constitution in Sasang Constitutional Medicine In 'Dongmu Yugo Yaksungga(동무유고 약성가)' it is said that A lotus, adlay, ginko nut, chest nut open stomach-Qi of Taeumin, help to digest, and give a better appetite. But this is different from the explanations of a previous traditional oriental medicine. All of them help to digest of Taeumin, but a adlay, ginko nut, chest nut distinguishing clearness-unclearness(淸濁) and spouting unclearness(濁)-Qi, has commonness of promoting digestion. But in the early days, a ginko nut is thought to be helpful to digest, the latter days, it is used for Mahwangjungchuntang which cures breast-stomachache(胸腹痛)and asthma(喘氣 哮喘病); It shows the change of recognition.

1. Objectives This paper is written for clear understanding on the concepts of 'Deep adherence of the Nature' and 'Sudden explosion of the Emotion' and for intensive comprehension of Mechanism of 'The Exterior Disease' and 'The Interior Disease' by The Nature and the Emotion. 2. Methods The study mainly based on "The exterior disease injured by the Nature, the interior disease injured by the Emotion" and deals with 'Seongmyungron, Sadanron, Hwarkchungron and Jangburon'. 3. Results and conclusions The conclusions as follows (1) Exterior Disease in each constitution breaks out by deep adherence of the Nature. Interior Disease brings out with sudden explosion of the Emotion. (2) 'Deep adherence of the Nature' is the state that the Ear, Eye, Nose, Mouth taking care of environmental frames can't work enoughly because of wrong minds on the Jaw, Breast, Umbilicus, Abdment. 'Sudden explosion of the Emotion' is the state that the Lung, Spleen, Liver, Kidney doing human affairs doesn't do appropriately for each constitution due to negative minds on the Head, Shoulder, Waist, Hip. (3) The result that the Ear, Eye, Nose, Mouth doesn't extract the clear energy from 'Jin, Go, You, Yaek sea' so they are lack of 'Shin, Qi, Hyul, Jeong' causes exterior disease in each constitution. (4) In each constitution, Interior disease results from that the Lung, Spleen, Liver, Kidney fails to bring on the clear juice from 'Lee, Mak, Hyul, Jeong sea', so shortage of 'Jin, go, You, Yaek' results in it.

We have been recognize the adaptation of JIT(Just-in-Time) production system is necessary to improve the constitution of enterprises. But this system is not settled in our industrial environment owing to misunderstanding of JIT concepts and lack of participation all members of the oranization. This paper deals with systematic application of the JIT subsystems such as U-form layout, flexible workforces with multi- functional skilled workers and adjustment of standard operations procedures. And a successful productivity improvement case study of a small and medium sized industry was dealt.
