According to each developing type, we study a concept, contents and a consideration about in oriental medicine industry. The divisions of each developing speciality are followings: Urban industry type - The development of urban industry type has difficulties; The lack of technical development and social adaptation, etc. If it overcomes these difficulties, it will be activated in the oriental medicine industry. Rural industry type - The oriental medicine industry of rural type needs the model of rural oriental medicine industry which leads an activity and an independence of the rural region. Within the industrialization of the oriental medicine industry, if rural resource makes a specialized brand, it can have great effects in the future industry. Resort industry type - When The resort type is related the characters of natural circumstances, cultural industry and health management, it has many effects. If we gain the clear direction which is activated the regional specialities, the oriental medicine industry of resort type can estabilishs the high value industry. Event industry type - The event type is a festival, an exhibition, etc. Within this event, the promoter must provide visitors the specialized sights, the food things, the enjoyable things. And using traditional image, we have the regional resource is recognized good things and the nomination of open place can inform.

The research on the actual condition of the oriental health related industry has been made with defining it's phase. As a result, I have come to develope korean-type health model, which can solve the problems derived from the past herb medicine industry. The prospects and roles of the oriental health related industries are as follows: The phase adjustment of the oriental health related industry. The problems of modern medical science happens in the beginning of 21st century, the importance of oriental health improvement in the field of health business is now being on the rise. therefore it is necessary to readjust the present status of the oriental medicine and to take it into health area. Should the responsible institutes regarded on oriental medicine make clear prescription in terms of oriental health industry's role and limitation, they could contribute health circumstance in the 21st century. This is because oriental health related industry can be utiliged in not only protective area and curable area. The present situation of the oriental health related industry. These herb medical societies are flooded with various oriental health industry apart from the legal systematic control so far health industry apart from the legal systematic control so far. The expected survey can not be complete but random under these situations. If these problems are made up for in the field of theory area, the oriental health related industry will surely have the potentiallity and know how for health welfare. The successive role of these industry is depended on the fact that the characteristics of the oriental medicine should adjust to the real society with the systematic management. In the 21C, oriental health industry will certainly be vitalized owing to the social and periodical request especially in the area of oriental medical industry, oriental health drink industry, oriental health mind exercise industry, oriental health leasure industry and oriental health complex management industry. Among these areas, it is the oriental health complex amagement industry that will be the limestone of prosperity of the oriental health industry in 21C. Proposal for the social contribution of the oriental health related industry in the 21C. To achive the ultimate role of the oriental health industry in the 21c, first we should know how to use the oriental medicine. Second We should make an effort to revitalize the oriental health industry. So it is indespensible that government, academic institution and enterprise should concentrate their interest on the oriental health industry with common knowledge and systematic management in advance.

Korean medicine industry general means all industry activities related to Korean medicine. It covers material resources such as herbs and products made herbs, medical instruments, Korean medical servics and related information service based on Korean medicine theories. Also according to industrial strategy, Korean medicine industry was to define and branch. The industrial strategy of Korean medicine industry was based on kowledge, high-end, intensive techology, and global denand. By the industrial strategy of Korean Medicine industry, a study on the optimal industry construction of Korean medicine industry was standardizaition in the basic research and promoted bouds, efficiency in the group industrial, detention of global fund and global technology, and intenational division of product process. The purpose of this parer is to identify the input-output structure of oriental medicine and its alternative medicine industries in an inter-industry context and to estimate its forward and backward effects on macroeconomic variables such as production, employment and price level. Input-output tables released by The Bank of Korea were used as data in this research and inter-industry analysis was adopted as research methodology. The industry takes less share of production, price and trade in a Korean economy, compared with other industry. However, the industry's capability of creating value added is estimated to be well above that of other industry and that of making new employments is as more than 4 times as other industries. This result gives us policy implications that the government should enhance its subsidy policy and economic (tax) incentives for oriental medicine and its related alternative medicine industries.

1. To define 'Korean medicine industry' through study on existing medicine related industries, Korean medicine industry means all industrial activities related to Korean medicine. It covers material resources such as herbs and products made with herbs, medical instruments, Korean medical service and related information service based on Korean medicine theories. 2. According to Korea National Statistical Office standard industrial branch, Korean medicine industry was classified as a large branch. There were industries such as agriculture, food and beverage manufacture, publishing, copy of prints and record media, manufacture of compound and chemical products, medical service, manufacture of precise optical instruments, wholesale trade and product mediation, retail trade, restaurant, research and development, education service, health preservation service, entertainment, culture and sports industry related to the Korean medicine industry. 3. If we classify this according to the industry branch of English economists Clark, Colin Grant, herb cultivating industry will be classified as primary industry, manufacture of foot and beverage related to Korean medicine, secondary industry and wholesale and retail sales of herb, research and development, education, health preservation, social welfare, tertiary industries.
