Text data mining ('big data methods') is one of the most widely used approaches during the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, text data mining on Scopus databases or Web of Science (WoS). Text data mining is widely used to collect literature for later bibliometric analysis, and in the end, it becomes a literature review article. Therefore, in this article, we reveal the trend of publication of literature reviews in Scopus journals from Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, and Malaysia. This article describes two essential parts, namely 1) a comparison of international publication trends and subject area of literature review publications, and 2) a comparison of Top 5 for Authors, Affiliation, Source Title, and Collaboration Country.

This paper introduces a computer program ARAP, explaining how it automatically analyzes and evaluates academic research articles and books. It also shows how ARAP can help trace the trend of a certain theory by reviewing existing publications. As an illustration, ARAP is used to review Korean linguistic publications in order to show how Western semantic theories have influenced semantic studies in Korea.

Sustainable development is no longer an option, but a requirement. Under this awareness, UN adopted 17 goals for a new sustainable development agenda on September 2015, named 'Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs)'. The Korean Society of Rural Planning(KSRP) is established on July 1994 for the sustainable development of rural areas. On the purpose to quantitatively analyze the research trend of KSRP's publications with the viewpoint of SDGs, the qualitative documents of 17 SDGs and 771 publications were mathematically transformed into vectors and the similarity was numerically measured with the 'Vector Space Model(VSM)'. The results show that 'Sustainable cities and communities(SDG 11)', 'Zero hunger(SDG 2)', 'Life on land(SDG 15)' and 'Responsible consumption and production(SDG 12)' have strong relationships with KSRP, while those of 'Affordable and clean energy(SDG 7)', 'Peace, justice and strong institution(SDG 16)' and 'Gender equality(SDG 5)' are weak. It is also found that the relationships of KSRP publications with 'energy' and 'climate change' issues(SDG 7, 13) were greatly increased during the period of 1995-2016, in spite of their weak relationships.

This study aimed to observe trends in the literature on research, development, and innovation management in the energy sector, using performance assessment systems. The paper presented a bibliometric analysis of 40 studies on the subject. These materials come from ScienceDirect, Scopus and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) databases from 2006 to 2016. The results showed an increasing trend in the number of publications on the theme, showing the scientific community's interest in the subject. In addition, it was verified that the predominant language used to write the publications was English, the country that most published articles in the area was Brazil and most of the articles were produced through collaboration between researchers. It was found that the journal with the greatest number of publications on the subject was the Procedia - Social and Behavioral Sciences, while the Expert Systems with Applications journal presented the article with the greatest number of citations. This analysis allowed us to identify important points of the research and its future directions, in addition to enabling a better understanding of the world trend of the subject approached.

This study examined the mechanical engineering research output from India, Japan, and South Korea on different parameters including growth, collaboration indices, and activity index. The purpose of the study is to understand the overall development of mechanical engineering through analytical approaches applied on the scholarly outcome of the countries considered for the study. The study focuses on analysing the articles published by India, Japan, and South Korea, and is restricted to articles indexed in the Science Citation Index - Web of Science for the period 2000 to 2014. The ratios of number of paper to citations for India, Japan, and Korea are 20,836: 1,97,679; 24,494: 2,04,393; and 30,578: 2,66,902 respectively for the period 2000-2014. The findings show that there is a decline in Japanese publications in mechanical engineering, whereas other two countries have recorded an increasing trend. While India has tripled its publications in a span of 15 years, South Korea, on the other hand, has doubled its publications in the same span of time. There has been an increasing trend towards collaboration in almost all fields of science and technology. However, the extent of collaboration and their rate of growth varied for one subject to another, one branch to another branch of the same subject, and from one country to another country. The present study analyses the growth of research publications of the mechanical engineering domain including authorship distribution, collaboration indices, prominent journals, and activity index.

Seismic resilience (SR) plays a vital role in evaluating and improving performance losses along with saving repair costs of structures from potential earthquakes. To further explore the developments, hotspots, and trend directions of SR, a total of 901 articles are obtained from the Web of Science (WoS) database. CiteSpace software is used to conduct a bibliometric analysis, which indicates an upward trend of publications in SR and explores the relationship of countries, journals, cited references, and keywords based on visual maps and detailed tables. Then, based on the results of the bibliometric analysis, a state-of-the-art review is conducted to further explore the current challenges and trend directions of SR. The trend directions can be divided into five categories: (a) SR assessments of infrastructure structures, (b) multi-hazard quantifications of SR, (c) seismic resilient structures, (d) refining and calibrating analytical models, and (e) multi-criteria decision-making frameworks for sustainability and SR.

Many IS researchers had the greatest interesting in publication in leading IS journals. Studies of measuring research performance of Information Systems (IS) are the most important research areas. Today, many IS researchers considered Management Information Systems Quarterly (MISQ), Information Systems Research (ISR), and Journal of Management Information Systems (JMIS) as the leading IS journals. In this study, we analyzed the published papers of Korean and overseas Koreans related IS researchers in ISR, MISQ, and JMIS from 2001 to 2010. The results of this study appeared the trend of increasing frequency of publication of IS research in south Korea in the leading IS journals such as ISR, MISQ, JMIS. The findings of this research showed the excellent performance of IS researchers and provided valuable information regarding publications performance of IS researchers in leading IS Journals.

This paper presents at the characteristics of publications in the Journal of Astronomy and Space Sciences from 1984 to 2018. Since its first publication, a total of 1,113 papers (~35 volumes) have been published up to December 2018. While the space astronomy field has made up a large portion of the total number of papers, the number of annually published papers in this field is decreasing. In contrast, the number of papers in the space environment field has been showing an increasing trend since 2013, accounting for more than 30% of the annual publications. The participation rate of foreign researchers has been maintained at greater than 20% since 2012. Despite the decrease in the number of paper per year, there are positive developments including sustained foreign researcher participation at greater than 20% and improvements in the impact factor. We believe that JASS has the potential to enter the distinguished level of international academic journals following a well-developed future road map.

본 연구는 국내 문헌정보학 연구자 및 이들의 연구행태를 파악하기 위해 국내 4년제 대학의 문헌정보학과에 재직 중인 교수(전임강사 이상) 159명이 지난 10년간(2001~2010년) 발표한 국내 외 학술논문 및 국제 학술회의 발표 논문 2,400편을 연도별, 저자별, 학교별, 학술지별 정량분석 하였다. 분석결과, 국내 문헌정보학과 교수들의 왕성한 학술활동(1인당 연평균 1.51편의 논문발표), 국외 학술논문 생산증가(170편) 및 공동연구 비율의 증가(단독연구 52.75%, 공동연구 47.25%) 등의 연구행태를 제시하였으며 특히 한국 문헌정보학의 국제화 추세를 보여주고 있다. 구체적으로 지난 10년간 해외 박사학위 취득자의 문헌정보학 교수임용 비율이 증가하고 있으며 해외 박사학위 교수들의 높은 논문생산성이 나타났다. 학술 논문의 서지정보를 계량 분석한 본 연구는 학술논문 품질평가를 위한 다방면 인용 분석연구의 첫 번째 단계를 실행하였고, 향후 진행될 연구에서는 학술 논문의 참고문헌 및 인용관계에 있는 자료를 분석하여 관련 학문분야 및 논문의 질적인 측면에 대한 연구가 수행되어야 할 것으로 본다.

Records of industrial accidents are essential to maintain efficient and successful safety programs. The objective of this study is to examine the trends of industrial accidents in manufacturing industry, based on the national statistics. From 1972 to 1994, statistics of industrial accidents were extracted from the annual publications of Ministry of Labor. The results show that there are significant characteristics and trends in the records of industrial accidents. These findings identified in this study can be used to manage the accident prevention efforts.
